He came over, inspected our roof and got us an estimate w/ in a hour or so. He said he could schedule us in a week or two. He arrived as promised, with his father- also Ben- and they had the damage repaired in one day. They both came back the next day to clean and seal our whole roof. "Jan Tukker is very professional and thorough. JTI did the work as promised and on time. A couple of things to consider when re-roofing. If a dumpster is used, consider an alternate location other than the driveway depending on the age of the concrete. Cracks will happen with all the weight of the dumpster and old roofing material. Secondly, be vigilant with the cleanup. There are large amounts of nails used in the process and many reach the ground. Stepping on a roofing nail in your flower bed can t**** the whole experience. The contractor does an OK job of picking up nails, but you as the customer should search for them as we'll.

"In fairness to this company, there were many roofs in Orange County with hurricane damage. But, our salesperson promised a roof within 8-10 weeks of signing the contract. It was four months later that I finally got a new roof but, this was after phoning almost daily to find out the status on my roofing supplies. I was not happy with Universal's response to some minor damages to my property...their response was nothing. Also, there were problems in their billing department that I had to work through. All in all, the roof replacement work was excellent, the customer service of the company itself leaves alot to be desired."
