"Very professional team. Scott Lafferty, the sales rep, explained their proposal well after first inspection. The work team showed up on-time, finished the work next day as promised and left it all clean. I am marking "N/A" for the quality of work because, we won't know how well the foundation is stabilized till couple of rains and summers...for which they have given warranty."

"The team from CRC concrete performed over and above what they originally set out to do. From the start, Neale van Streepen and his team were on time, on budget, and provided a first class service for the project we needed completing. Their skilled personnel were courteous, knowledgable and and true reflection of a well run organization. We now have a product that will not only last another 30+ years at least, but it looks great, and is safe for all to use again. Thank-you CRC for a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone"

"My husband and I had an offer accepted on a beautiful older home. The inspector was very concerned about 3 things 1) the roof, 2) numerous repaired cracks in the brick veneer and patches in the dry wall everywhere, and 3) virtually every surface inside had been painted the exact same color. He said we absolutely should not buy the home without having a foundation repair company or structural engineer looking at the house as it looked like someone had attempted to hide serious foundation issues or roof leaks. The roofer said there were no leaks, so we turned our attention to the foundation. Our realtor immediately recommended Centex despite another company having done repairs that were under warranty about 10 years before. When I called Centex, they initially couldn't come out until the afternoon our option period ended. When I told them that, they immediately worked with my realtor to find a time they could squeeze us in, all completely for free. Kenny came out and sent me an estimate within hours and included his personal cell phone to answer any questions we had. He patiently walked me through all my questions and concerns given that the estimate was well beyond what Centex indicates is on the high end. He explained the "consequences" or side effects of foundation repair. He even advised us to take into consideration how expensive potential plumbing repairs could be before we talk to the seller. This was important to me because a high estimate for repairs by Centex could easily be dismissed as the company trying to convince us to spend a lot of money with them. But Kenny had nothing to gain by advising us to get estimates from a plumber of our choosing. Unlike some reviews on here indicate, at no point did Centex attempt to hide just how expensive this would be. In fact, my experience was the opposite. Moreover, Kenny was up front about how long the repair would take, how long it would take to get started because this was their busiest time of the year, and that we needed to factor in extra time for other possible repairs. Centex of course didn't tell us what to do regarding the house. But Kenny made sure we had all the information we needed to make an informed decision based on the realistic costs of repairing the house. At no point did he or anyone else pressure us to sign a contract with them. We went with another house, but if I ever need foundation repair on this one, Centex will definitely be my first and only call regardless of how cheap anyone else can do it. <br />"

"Our home buying journey has been rather lengthy. Chris actually inspected 3 homes for us this year. He saved us on 2 homes where the foundation had failed. The 3rd home the foundation was in good condition and the rest of the inspection was done in great detail. Couldn't be happier with the inspection and recommend Chris to anyone that looking to have their home inspected."

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Salado, TX

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
