"Chris was very professional, thorough and provided excellent, friendly service. His report covered a lot all aspects of the process, and there are many minor observations covered in the report that will help to work on on-going maintenance of the house to give it longevity and prevent future issues with the property. Highly recommend that any prospective buyer takes his services."

"The process started strong and communication was good but after a month into the process the site supervisor (as she was called) started to hide from us when on site, requested texts and pics instead of showing up in person when she planned to show, and answering questions became concerning. After 85% work was accomplished she pressured a survey on us for an uncompleted pool and after the survey was sent in she was almost non existent and many items still needed to be completed; the office manager was instrumental in the logistics and completion of unfinished work. Luke; a service technician, was the most professional, competent and informative member of the team/company. Overall: Too many questions and issues were left unfinished and a district manager had to be brought to the site to get the job completed and that was a major red flag. The unskilled labor and lack of English speaking workers was the norm and only a few times was an interpreter available on the phone. After all the stress, and headaches we endured did we finally get a good pool. Overall the negative overshadowed the positive in the experience. Luke's help and equipment knowledge was the best thing about the build."

"I have a serious concern and cannot get anyone to answer me or call me back. We have had the crew out on Wednesday, March 23, 2022 to start the work. They dug ten holes and started the leveling, but then were called to another job and said they would be back on Friday, March 25, 2022. The crew showed up on March 25, 2022, for about 3 hours, did a little bit of leveling, and then said they were called off to another job again. I am on crutches from hip surgery and we have ten holes that were left open in the back of our house (one of which is right outside the back door, which cannot be used in case of an emergency). This is unacceptable. We need the crew sent out and the job completed. Still waiting for David to call or contact us even once since taking half of the money down on the job on February 11, 2022."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Salado, TX

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
