"Excellent.  They were able to do it within an hour of my call.  Took less than 30 minutes to repair.  A little pricey for such a short job but overall worth it to stop the problem and get exceptional responsiveness!"

"The drains and toilets in our house were not going into the septic system as they should. Instead they were backing up into the bathrooms, laundry room, and kitchen. They came out on time and cleared the drains through the main line, and emptied out the septic system, 2 weeks after I had paid another local plumber to do but they did not. Unfortunately the <strong>"other"</strong> plumber is not on Angie's list for me to review. <br />  Roto Rooter workers were very professional and had to tear up our patio (because we found out the previous owner covered the main line and the septic tank with a patio). We discovered that the main drain line to the septic tank was a flexible hose and had caved in from all the pressure of the dirt and patio that it was covered with. <br /> Roto Rooter quoted us an additional $800.00 to dig up patio and change the main line, but we did not have that kind of money at the time, so my husband and son dug it up and replaced the line. <br /> Although I did not use them to dig up the patio and replace the main line; I am very happy with the work that Roto Rooter had performed and the knowledge the men had about the issues we were having. As the "Other" plumber wanted to rip out everything and replace it all including the tank and drain field. <br /> When we have any other issues or just need the septic tank to be emptied, <strong> I will be sure to call Roto Rooter FIRST!</strong> <br /> <br /> <br />"

"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Peter did an excellent job evaluating my home's damage and negotiate the line items with our insurance company. We had been fighting with the insurance company for about 6 months (since hurricane Irma in September 2017). We had received an initial sum equivalent to about 25% of our actual damages. Peter stepped in and within about 4 months or so and several back and forth inspections and adjusters being involved on the insurance side which kept on delaying the process, Peter was able to get us an additional settlement. Our total payout is still far less than the actual damage, but it is a complicated case and we wanted to move on with life so we settled based on an appraisal process that Peter was involved in. Thank you Peter and team for your professionalism and support throughout the process. Best regards"

"I had three items that needed taken care of. One was simple and straight-forward, the second a little more complicated, and the third that I knew would take time, but no cost in parts (tracing electrical lines to circuit breaker inside house). I and quot;knewand quot; that the response for the first request ( for an uncommon part) would be that they would have to go to an electrical supply house over their lunch break and would either pick the part up or have it ordered and be back with the part later. I was surprised (and I think maybe they were, too) that they had the part on the truck. That problem solved within five minutes, maybe (very quick and efficient). The second problem took a little time (they knew what they were doing, it just took time to trace down the problem). The older electrician located the problem because of his long experience in the trade. The third problem took about an hour as I remember it, but they were very efficient in their work. Based on this experience I would rate these electricians very highly -- they were very professional in their approaches to the problems -- and I would call them again. <br />"

"James sent two trucks and four guys to the house to solve the problem and they went to work immediately and were very courteous and professional. In addition to the original problem, they put a new kit in my kitchen faucet and replaced one of the spigots outside. James also came by to make sure everything was going smoothly and jumped in and helped. I must add, that James had a two hour window between jobs and worked me in between those. I can't say enough good things about their knowledge and professionalism. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have a plumbing job done right."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Sale-city, GA

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
