"It went very well. After a bit of a wait, I received a very comprehensive report of 88 specific items as well as bacteria, fungi and particles. Each Item detected over the EPA drinking water limits had an explanation sheet. Also provided was a contact person at the company to address any questions you had about the report findings. I thought the service was well worth the $300 just for the peace of mind. I intend to use the company on an annual basis going forward."

"Installer was very knowledgeable. Installing the guardrail and post was a lot more technical than I realized, and skill with experience is definitely needed for such a task. You must have skill sets for installing each spindle and securing the base and top rail. 3D Construction was meticulous. <br />"

"Excellent service! The technician arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. Over the years, I've had several home appliance warranty companies. Without question, Complete Appliance Protection is the best one I've ever contracted with. Their monthly price is a little higher than most, but I do have their best protection plan with $0 deductible. You get what you pay for..."

"A&A did remove materials and installed  some new walls, ceilings and some flooring. They gave an estimate for the entire job and an approximate time line for job completion.  The cost estimate covered 1/2 or less of the remodel cost and the time for completion would have been at least 2 times longer than estimated.  A&A did not provide crews for work, but one person did most of the actual labor.  They did have a Sheetrock finishing crew that did some work, but not all the Sheetrock  finishing.  After 5 months the job was 1/2 done and there was not 1 room in the house that was completed.  Every room was started (at some level of dismantling), but nothing was completed.  We lived 2 hours away and could not monitor hours worked or days worked and  the last 2 months A&A worked for us, we believe their schedule was very erratic as far as far as working to complete our job. <br />   The floor tile work was done well.  The construction of a safe room was well done.  There may have been problems that caused a delay in completion, but we were never told or consulted about the discrepancy in the time estimates.  We did modify some of the details of the remodel and understood that the additions would add to the cost, but not double the cost.  Another company was hired to complete the job."

"Friday morning the 16th of Jan. 2015 our drain backed up in to our yard through the vent /clean out pipe. called our insurance company and they sent out a plumber to take a look at it at a cost of $75.00 our part to look and fix problem, they ran the snake through it and called it done.  On Feb 13 2015 it happened again, called the insurance company and they resent the same company to check they ran the snake and same results "your fixed" I asked how come we have not had a problem in 4 years and all of a sudden we get 2 time the same problem in 30 days, I don't know I can run a camera down it and see the fee will be $175 extra charge that your insurance company don't cover, I told him no, He suggested that I call the city have them come check their connection since all my pipes are pvc and 4 years old, we did exactly that and the city was furious because that is not the home owners job its a work request put in by the plumbers company. The city checked their connection and stated "Nothing was wrong on their end".   When it happened a week later again I called Blaylock Heating and Plumbing, They came out in about 2 hours checked the line "they laid the initial piping to the city service when the house was remodeled" they said the pipes looked good still asked if we would like to run a camera down it to be sure no problems on the entire line, I agreed and said yes run the camera,  They found that the city connection was offset a little bit and told us they would send in a work order for the city to come and re-check their initial findings since they now had the camera evidence that its not on our end but the cities connection,  They marked the ground for one call and the work order submitted and we were billed two weeks later, total of $200 for entire ordeal. breakdown goes like this $80 for service call, $20 to run the snake, $100 to run the camera, submitting work order not my responsibility. If the city makes a determination will update at a later date. GREAT JOB BLAYLOCK <br />"

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Sallisaw, OK

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
