"Corbin was outstanding! He did excellent work, finished on time, within the budget price that he gave us, (very competitive price) cleaned up after himself on the job, with great attention to detail, He listened carefully to our needs and made suggestions that made the project better than we expected. I would definitely recommend him to anyone who wants great work done at a good price by a nice guy with great construction skills and people skills. Corbin is a keeper!"

"Alex and Chris are true professionals. They provided a very competitive bid to remove and replace all of my sod. The work which was supervised by Chris was perfect down the most minute detail. He kept in touch with me throughout the entire process and gave excellent advice. I rarely give recommendations but my experience with this company far exceeded my expectations."

"We hired this team in late fall for major landscaping work and have been extremely impressed. The top priority was repairing a 50-foot retaining wall to ensure it was structurally sound... and they delivered! They also rewired our sprinkler system, xeriscaped a portion of our front yard, planted a new tree, extended our driveway, and repaired backyard concrete steps. Fast turnaround and excellent quality throughout. Huge thanks to David O Callaghan (project manager) for clear communication and strong guidance. Greg (manager) was great to work with, and Luis (team lead) is an outstanding hands-on leader. The whole crew took pride in their work, reused materials when possible, and used high-quality materials for the new areas. Their communication, guidance, and commitment to a spring follow-up to ensure wall integrity and sprinkler performance make it 5/5. We will update after the spring visit, and we confidently recommend them to anyone! "

"It was amazing! They were friendly, timely, efficient and honest! My kids were amazed! I just saw the finished product and cannot believe it only took a few days. They were even considerate of my dogs (who will miss them). Now I’m looking for more projects to bring them back! It was refreshing to talk to the owner and then see the owner do the work! No outsourcing."

"The work completed turned out amazing! We would hire Teiko Construction for any concrete project in the future. They installed a new stamped concrete patio, landscaping retaining wall and drip irrigation system in our backyard. Ben and crew were professional, always on time and the site was always immaculately organized and cleaned. Great company to work with!"

"We hired GID Construction to redo our old garage, build a master bedroom addition, and transform our backyard. So far they’ve built a retaining wall and patio, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. The craftsmanship is beautiful—solid, clean, and thoughtfully done. From the beginning, Jorden and Sam have been friendly, responsive, and open to our ideas, making the process smooth and collaborative. This was just the first phase of our project, and based on how great this experience has been, we’re really looking forward to working with them again on our upcoming garage/bedroom addition. Highly recommended!"

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Salt Lake City, UT

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
