"Loved there fnshed work. Had fifteen yards of concrete patio and a block wall bulit. They not only did great job but they spent the time doing it right. Not one crack in the concrete. They took care of dranige issues I did not even think of. Had a buddy go with a diffrent compney at the same time and his 10 yard patio is all cracked up. If you want it done right then go with Universal Landscaping."

"I hired this company to tear down my wooden deck and replace it with a larger trex deck. The owner, Ian Grant, was personally involved, throughout the process . I was able to choose the design, the railing and the exact decking materials that I wanted. The finished product is amazing. Everyone who has visited my home and spent time on the deck - has marveled at how nice it is and commented on the transformation from the wooden deck (which was OK - but not amazing). The entire team was knowledgeable and professional. This deck was completed in August (2020) and has been a gathering place for friends and family (as we can safely visit and keep our social distance). Iâ m so grateful that I decided to move ahead with this project (in spite of Covid 19) and so grateful to Ian and his team who did such an amazing job. I am sure that I will hire them again for other projects and refer them to friends and family, as well."

"I highly recommend NestEx LLC. We needed a gravel pad prepared for 2 sheds on very short notice, and he truly saved the day. Despite the tight timeline, he went out of his way to accommodate us by coming out on a Saturday to get the job done. His professionalism and attention to detail were evident from the moment he started. He meticulously dug out the soil and leveled the entire area before taking his time to expertly layer layer and compact the gravel. You can tell he takes immense pride in his work; the base is rock-solid and perfectly even. What impressed me the most was his thoughtfulness. After finishing a thorough cleanup of the area, he was gracious enough enough to cover the entire pad to protect it from the incoming rain. He wanted to ensure the gravel wouldn’t be compromised so it could harden properly- a level of care you rarely see. If you want someone reliable, hardworking, and genuinely dedicated to quality, look no further. 5 stars all the way."

FAQs for building site preparation and clearing projects in Sammamish, WA

A professional team can clear an acre of land in as little as two to twelve hours, depending on your land's condition. You'll need to consider factors like vegetation density, terrain features, and obstacles such as trees, stumps, rocks, or existing structures can increase the time required. If your land is heavily wooded or has uneven terrain, expect the process to take longer and require more effort.

If you're looking to clear land for a pasture, expect to pay between $400 and $600 per acre for forestry mulching or $500 to $5,600 per acre for conventional land clearing. When choosing a method, consider:

  • Forestry Mulching: Leaves organic material in the soil, promoting new ground cover growth.

  • Conventional Clearing: You might lose valuable topsoil during this process.

A land-clearing project typically involves several key steps to prepare your property for construction or landscaping. First, assess your land and obtain any necessary permits from your local building department. Then, professionals use specialized equipment to remove trees, stumps, brush, and vegetation. After clearing, they haul away debris and may perform grading to level the land, ensuring it's ready for your intended use.

Preparing land to build a house typically costs between $1,000 and $4,000, depending on your land's size and condition. This includes clearing space for the foundation, which may involve removing trees, stumps, brush, and leveling or grading the site. Don't forget to budget for additional costs like permits, fees, and installing utility connections such as gas lines, water lines, and sewer mains.
