"David and his crew arrived promptly, cleaned and inspected my gutters and pointed out issues.  They also inspected my roof and let me know there were cracked tiles that needed to be replaced by my roofer. They cleaned up perfectly after they completed the job.  <br /> David even took pictures of defects left by the original installer.  And, he offered to return and make the repairs in the event the original installer did not take care of them. I would absolutely use Nor-Cal again. <br />"

"The owner , Daneil,  of Lock Genius was out of town but sent an affiiate ( who didn't work directly with him) over right away to assess our issue with door handle that would not work. The owner, Daniel was the nicest and most hard-working person I have probably ever dealt with for service/maintenance issues with our property or home. His affiliate charged $74 to assess issue and I waited a couple weeks for a call back to hear about what parts had been ordered and for a replacement but when I did not hear back I called Daniel and he went to work on it right away - the part was hard to obtain and he called may people to try to find a part but when he could not he figured out a way to use another part to work instead saving us  quite a bit of $ (replacement of door handle would have been $500-600 but in the end parts and labor by Daniel were only $174 more.) He even took a look at some othr things in our loft unit we were concerned about unrelated to the door/lock.  He was always so eager to help , kind and responsive by phone. I woudl highly recommend Daniel to anyone! <br />"

"Darrin fixed an increasingly problematic front door mortise lock. Works swell now; it was a toughie. He also fixed two other outside door locks that had been iffy. Prior repairman who had installed the locks and doors didn't do a great job. Now we have working and locking doors. Spiffy. I thought the price was very reasonable. He was professional and knowledgeable. Will hire him again for any lock issues. I wish I had done this over a year ago instead of dreading it (afraid we would have to replace the locks or doors)."

"The Plus:  Reed Brothers Security has a retail store where you can see a wide array of home security devices, from deadbolts, safety doors, alarms and safes, to safety doors and alarm systems.  The men who came to install our safe were pleasant and took a difficult installation in stride.  I thought our closet floor was wood, but it turned out to be wood over concrete. <br /> The Minus:  I had expected a telephone call to schedule installation of our new safe, but never received a call.  I finally contacted Reed Brothers Security on the Friday of the week that they were supposed to call.  I was told they'd called several times, which might have been the case, but they never left a message.  We scheduled an appointment for today, Tuesday, between 8 a.m. and 10 a.m.  No one had called or had shown up by 9:20, so I telephoned them.  I was told their installer hadn't shown up and they were looking for someone else and they'd get back to me.  Ultimately, they did send my safe out, but I would have appreciated a call that they'd be so late.   <br /> Their installation fees are high, I think.  The initial charge is $170 for 1/2 hour and labor is added to that.  There is an extra charge of, I think, $37 for Saturday appointments."
