"Jordan and his helper were exceptional. Jordan was polite, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable about the products he was installing. It was a great pleasure working with Jordan. He went out of his way to make sure that we had a pleasurable experience with the installation of five windows in a door. At first we were expecting it to be a nightmare but Jordan made it into a dream. Window Depot is very lucky to have an employee like Jordan representing their company."

"Absolutely amazing experience! So sweet, friendly, and professional. They were incredibly efficient and got everything done quickly, including hanging my TV and taking care of a few other tasks we needed around the house. It was clear they really know what they’re doing, and they made the whole process easy and stress-free. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled handyman!"

"They weren?t sure how to put the tile on had to call them back. They charged a different price than the one that was quoted. Nearly triple Triple the price that was quoted. Also charged me 200.00 in materials they only had to buy thinset And grout For A 20 square foot area. When I. Called them they are not answering the Phone. Left garbage in my backyard. They are pretty bad and dishonest. Usually I don?t leave reviews, but I feel strongly about this ."

"Logan and Brian were outstanding to work with. We were having unprecedented heat conditions during this project and they kept in touch and worked as diligently and safely as they could under these circumstances. The new deck looks awesome and came in at the price we were quoted. I would recommend this company to anyone."

"I hired Leonetti Luxury Upgrades LLC to repair damaged solid hardwood flooring. Joseph Leonetti stated he could perform the repairs. The repair attempt was done improperly and caused additional buckling and damage to the floor beyond the original issue. The replacement boards were provided by me and were from the same lot as the original floor and had been acclimated in the home prior to installation. Only after the damage was made worse did he state that the concrete slab underneath was ?wet? and that special cement and sealing would be required. This is a 20-year-old home with the slab elevated above ground, and the buckling was localized to one area of the room, not widespread. Two other contractors later inspected the issue and told me this explanation and repair approach were not accurate. He scheduled multiple return appointments to correct the damage and did not show up. After I requested a refund for the $130 I paid, he told me he would bring it by or mail it. I never recei"

"My husband and I chose Mr. Build to install a new front door for our home. The salesman was great, we gave our deposit, they took the final measurements and we waited for the door to be installed. We were told the door would need to be modified to fit our home by the manufacturer and it could take a little longer, which was fine. We were surprised when it arrived early for installation and were happy to schedule. Unfortunately, the door had not been modified at the manufacturer and the installer did the modifications on-site, including cutting our foundation and “shaving” the top of the door which left it uneven. He also cut into our new flooring and left a large gap between the threshold and floor which he tried to fill with silicone. We had them return to inspect the work and had to reschedule someone to now place a new threshold transition and also attempt to fix the window moldings. A couple weeks go by and then we start to see gaps of light between the side of the door and the frame from the inside. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to fix the issue and being told it was a tech's last day and he “tried to make it work” we still have the same problems. I've asked what our options were since they aren’t fixing the problems and claim they will “make it right” but the issues are never fixed. I was told by Melanie we would not receive any amount of a refund and they will not pay for another door. Needless to say, after months of dealing with this we are extremely frustrated, beyond tired of the excuses, poor workmanship, and lack of accountability. To spend $3000 to have damage done to our foundation, new flooring, and having light, heat, and outside air coming through the door frame is ridiculous in Florida. We were better off with our previous $200 door from Home Depot."

FAQs for doors (interior) installation and replacement projects in San Antonio, FL

If your existing frame is in good shape, you can replace an interior door without changing the frame. This is a budget-friendly option because it saves on the cost of removing and installing a new frame. By choosing a slab door that fits your current frame, you'll save on labor and materials. Just make sure the new door matches the old one's dimensions for a smooth replacement.

Standard interior doors are 80 inches tall and range from 28 to 32 inches wide. Interior doors vary from 24 to 36 inches wide, depending on their purpose and the available space. Building codes require interior doors to be at least 80 inches tall and 24 inches wide. Knowing standard sizes helps you select a new door that fits properly in your existing opening.

It costs $600 to $2,000 or more to move an inside door. The total price depends on your location, the type of door, and materials needed to complete the project. Moving an interior door requires walling up the leftover space and opening up a new wall where you want the door to go instead. You’ll also want to plan for the expense of framing the new wall opening and adding trim.

Exterior door installation costs an average of $1,175, with a typical range of $525 to $1,800. The higher expense compared to the cost of interior doors comes from the need for exterior doors to be weather-proofed and they are often made of thicker, more durable materials. The associated exterior hardware must also be able to withstand harsh weather, so these cost more as well.

It costs between $300 to $2,500 to make a doorway wider on average. However, the wider you need the space to be, the more it will cost. Some homeowners choose to widen interior doorways to make the house more wheelchair accessible. In order to be wheelchair accessible, an interior door needs to be at least 32 to 36 inches wide. Also, some older homes just have narrow doorways due to the nature of how homes were built differently many decades ago.

It takes between two to five hours for a professional door installer to install an interior door, depending on complexity and materials. A pre-hung door typically takes around two hours, and larger doors like double French doors can take up to five hours. If you’re doing the project yourself, expect it to take a little longer than that, especially if you have little to no experience completing this type of project. Keep in mind that a pre-hung door can be installed about an hour or two faster than a slab door.
