"1. ASP responded promptly to my request. 2. My specific problem was a seal change on my pump. I took it apart to the point of impeller removal but got stuck. (I Did not want to break the rear of the pump.) I requested help with its removal. 3. When Craig knocked my door he had my impeller in hand. He asked for nothing. (That was impressive.) Problem I requested solved and I had spoken till that point only to scheduling. 4. I or he suggested maybe I aught to let him finish the job since less than half done the work was done. 5. At this point, I decided he was the best man for the job. I paid a clear upfront price to ASP and he completed the work in a timely professional manner. (no hitches no bs) 6. Cant express how impressed I was with Craig and ASP. 7. More than fair, honest, and knowledgeable. These guys should be running the country not fixing pools. Goes without saying 5 stars. "My sister previously lived at my home and paid for pool cleaning services with Essential Pools at an established rate. I had some concerns with the service during this period, but allowed her to handle these. She moved out and I assumed responsibility for the same pool and services. I notice EP invoiced me an increase of approximately 35% from what my sister was invoiced, with no prior communication or notice. A significant price change without prior discussion or transparency is disappointing and not what I would expect from a professional service provider. I understand providers can increase/charge what they like, but it should be communicated to the customer ahead of time so they can decide if they want to proceed at that increased rate."

"Terrible. Do not trust this contractor. Substandard work throughout (collapsing bedroom ceiling after framing and drywall was applied to enlarge the bedroom), very poor quality painting, dangerous and shoddy electrical work in my attic, and the contractor failed to repair the damage his debris bin caused to my asphalt driveway. Absolutely terrible experience. Sadly, the VA Regional Office in Houston paid him in full and denied me the opportunity to contest his outright lies about the asphalt damage. I shudder to think what happens to my fellow disabled Veterans who lack the background I have in electrical work, painting, etc. when this contractor does VA funded remodeling in their homes. I’ve had to involve VA Headquarters in Washington DC on these issues. I am a longtime Veterans advocate.
