"I called Magic Moving because of Angies List Reviews 5 days before my scheduled move when my arrangements with another possible mover fell through.  The receptionist took my name and said Kevin would call back, which he did.  He was very accommodating and came up with a price that was much lower than the other mover, without ever seeing the job.  (I knew how much our shipment from our out of state move weighed.) He proposed a flat rate and said they would send 6 guys and 2 trucks.  They arrived on time and took more time wrapping our stuff than our first mover from out of state did, including rewrapping some of the stuff in storage.  We were very happy with the service.
Having said all that, the guys that showed up were from Jay's Small Moves in Oakland, and that's who we wrote the check to, so Magic Moving must have sent the job to them.  That seemed a little weird when I finally realized it since no one told me they were making the referral, but they did such a great job on short notice that I can't complain.  But in the end, this rating is about Jay's Small Moves.  But Magic Moving took care of making it happen, one way or the other, so I gave them a positive review as well.
