"These guys are great! We had them do the side of our house with cement. They had to remove all the old fake grass and level the dirt. They also put in the piping for a sprinkler system that they will do in the summer for the sod, which they will put in. They were very professional! We are very happy and will suggest them to others for work. We can?t wait for our sod to be done. Great job!! Karen"

"We hired Arbor Tech in 2005 to install artificial turf in our front yard. It was time to level out the ground and reapply the turf. We also decided to remove some trees and completely redo the sprinkler system in the back yard. I called Arbor Tech and Oscar and Pedro came over to give an estimate. The tree removal was performed by Arbor Tech and the landscaping was completed by Pedro's guys from APV Curbing and Landscape Services. Both companies were very professional, arrived on time, and cleaned up afterwards. I would definitely hire either company again."

"We already had the basic structure but the new shade cloth was measured, cut bound , stretched and installed as to make sure the high winds that we endure in this area will not send our structure sailing south again. Valentin did an excellent job and we will not hesitate to have work done by this company again in the future. <br />"

"It went very well.  Taz was great to work with.  He did what he said he was going to and when he said he was going to.  Great company to work with.  Completed the work in a timely fashion, and was very willing to answer questions and give advise and suggestions.  I would not hesitate to hire them for a job."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in San Luis, AZ

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
