"Great experience! Gerry was really responsive and able to install our cabinets quickly. When our countertop guy came to install he said he rarely sees cabinets this level. Would highly recommend"

"Regal, with Jim, was exceptional. The project started three days early and was completed early. They workers were on time and very professional. Jim was there almost every day, with the exception of his vacation, but his area supervisor was there. The project was completed under budget and had that WOW factor. In addition to the tile and cabinets they also refaced the bathroom cabinets and put in new base boards. We had people stop by to look at the work and ask questions about the team. Jim, the owner, has a great showroom to view projects and assist in putting together your ideas. We HIGHLY recommend Regal, as they use cabinets that are quality and made in America."

"We hired someone to install the cabinets and it was a mess. He focused more on his dog he brought over and didn't finish the job. We found Bill on Angie's list and he was amazing. He had to undo the mess the other installer made and finished the job to perfection. He was professional and explained everything well. He was also reasonably priced."

"Great service! Had to replace a dozen windows on a house we were selling and had only a week or so to closing. We had used them before to replace just a couple windows and were very satisfied with their work, so we called them once we knew we had to have windows replaced. They were highly responsive to my request for them to come out and provide a quote. Also they were quite helpful and patient as negotiations with the buyer continued. Ultimately we closed and they completed the work for the new owner after closing after we paid the cost of replacements."

"Perfect. The designer spent a lot of time with us understanding what we were trying to achieve. She had a design to us within a few days and it was exactly what we wanted. The closet was installed on the date we were promised and the install went flawlessly. We couldn't be more pleased."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in San Manuel, AZ

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
