"My experience with them has been very good. Some companies have a regular program like before winter, they come and change filters or do some of those things but this company doesn't have any such program. They come fore service calls when you call them and otherwise they don't. I have not had any need for them to come to my house. Their prices were reasonable- I did shop around to see what other people would charge me and they were pretty good."

"Excellent. Assessment & Qoute: They came out and assessed my home within a three days of calling for a quote. Within three days of the assessment, I received a quote via email with the make and model numbers of all the equipment, the services being performed. It included all electrical work, taxes, and permits. They were the lowest price on the best unit of four installers I contacted. Work Approval: I asked many questions on the utility discounts, system manufacturer warranties, and system features over other manufacturers. All questions were answered professionally, completely, and by the next business day. Work: Work was scheduled within two weeks of 50% payment up front. The size of the job was scheduled for two day, but was finished in one long day ( they worked through lunch). Three technicians showed up on site and on time with all the equipment and materials needed. The electrician was professional and showed up and finished on time. All three head units were installed and all lines were in closed in a heavy duty track. All trash and work areas were cleared of trash and debris. All holes were caulked and sealed from the elements. Before leaving they went over each unit and discussed it's operations and features. They answered all my technical questions and explained each task as they were doing it. Final payment was due upon completion of the work. Overall I am very satisfied with their work, and I have confidence the system they recommended and installed would provide me trouble free heating and cooling for years to come. I will definately call them again for service. Three months later: After three months, the system has been running as expected with no issues. My monthly utility bill has dropped $150-200 a month from the same time last year. I paid the price on the quote. There were no hidden fees."

"Great job well executed. These are very high quality professionals capable of diagnosing root causes of your problem, digging out the construction code and educating you on the right thing to do. You can hire cheaper handyman/chimney guys and get a recurring problem or you can hire these licensed professionals and take care of things the right way. Wish I had never used anyone else!"

"I called on the referral of another business relationship. I spoke to Deana on the phone and had to call her back with more details on the appointment. I set up an appt. for the next day, appt. time of sometime between 9:00-11:00 a.m. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I asked to have the issue of the drain not going down to see what the situation might be. I was told the evaluation fee would be $39.00 to which I agreed. Pretty cheap I guess to get an idea as to what the situation might be. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I got a call the day of the appointment at 8:45 that morning stating they would meet me at the house. (2nd house not current home) I met them there and they actually beat me to the house so they arrived on time and very promptly!! :) <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I took them in the house and told them the drain (1900 home) wasn't draining and that I assumed that it was because of the cold weather, might be frozen, might be broke?? I wasn't sure but needed to get it taken care of. I could not leave the drain in that condition as it had been that way for over two weeks and not getting better. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />After speaking to the main technician there all he really suggested was to try snaking the drain to see if it helped. I agreed. The two choices I had was a medium snake or he could go get a bigger one. I chose what he had available which was cheaper anyway. He went to town snaking the drain and pulled out some tree roots he said (there were so small they looked more like grass roots than tree roots but....I am not a horticulturist so who knows) finally the water went down and the drain ran clear. He then told me about some and quot;bacteriaand quot; that could be bought that would help keep the drain cleaned out. I had already put industrial strength drain opener in there and assumed that they had something commercial that would be even better. Well, it wound up being a canister of something that I akin to being like Rid-X but...I still assumed it was of superior strength since they are the professionals. He told me how to do it and gave me instructions to using it. Cost? $37.00 and some change. A little steep but...like I said, I assume it was of commercial strength. Still don't know, only two days into a five day treatment usage. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Well, I gave my credit card to charge me for the snaking, which he showed me the price for both medium and large, $149 was the cost for the medium. I just now, two days later looked at my receipt. (been busy with being sick after surgery) and noticed that the bill I figured would be the $149 for service and the $37.00 for the drain cleaner. Approximately $186 and some changed I assumed!! Boy was I wrong....I assumed (Yeah, I know, a** out of you and me) that the evaluation fee would have been put towards the service performed fee as I have been used to with other companies. My bill was $220+ and I am just not happy with that part of the service. I have really never dealt with a company that charges that way I guess. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Other than that....the company has no complaints from me. They did their job and was on time and very professional in their approach but...I will definitely make sure the next time I call a company that I am clear on what they are charging!! I just can't get past the whole $220.00 for the actually service itself of taking only 20 minutes at the latest. Lesson learned!!! Next time...another company and more clarity on what the charge will be! <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />I would recommend the company at this point because of the pros I mentioned but the one con on my part will prevent me from calling them again at this point. <br />"

"I received my radon results in a timely manner. I did not hire them specifically, (so, I cannot say I would hire them again) the local company contracted them for this service. The home inspector I hired, handled this service for me and included the results in his report."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Sand-creek, MI

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
