"The floor installed in my mobile home half bath is stronger than the original floor. And in a small space. Mr. Mooers righted anything he saw wrong, was efficient, and price was very reasonable. The fence was a big job. He was able to work with some of the pieces I had purchased ahead , and repurpose parts of fencing that had been removed. Including the gate, which made me so happy. The work was done quickly, and my beautiful fence is what I wanted. And all the while keeping my dog safe from it all. I highly recommend this business. I highly recommend Douglas Mooers if you need home rrepair or construction, mobile home or otherwise . Courtesy, excellent ability, and affordable rates: How can you go wrong?"

"We recently experienced an amazing, satisfying week with Caron Roofing and Construction. Several leaks in our roof appeared during a month of sometimes heavy rain. I called Justin Caron to come take a look at possible repairs. He came the following day. He recommended total roof replacement, including a rubber membrane covering the nearly flat roof over the two-car garage. Our home was built in 1905 and last re-roofed thirty or forty years ago. It needed replacement, and Justin’s estimate of price was reasonable. Justin made a formal written proposal the next day, and, after discussion, agreement on the work was reached. Necessary materials arrived the following morning, with the roofing work scheduled for the day after. Bang! A little after seven in the morning of the fourth day after my initial call, the work crew arrived, along with every imaginable piece of equipment and tool needed. Netting was placed to protect plants and flowers. Two dumpsters were deployed to collect trash. The 12 person crew worked as a coordinated team, purposely, professionally, and proficiently. By afternoon’s end, the roofing was done. The crew gathered up their equipment, finished removal of all the old roofing, and tidied up the yard. They restored everything to the “as before” condition, except now we had a wonderful new roof. Four days from first call to completed job. Well done!"

"This company is beyond expectations. 10 years ago, while living in Massachusetts, we hired a local roofer that was recommended. We definitely didn’t do our due diligence. Our metal roof was an embarrassment to anyone working in the trades. Big companies would only give us quotes for a replacement roof. Always Roofing LLC assessed our roof and agreed that the original installation was substandard. The owner was very professional, hard working and repaired our roof. We appreciate his knowledge and dedication to excellence."

Small jobs welcome

"True North Contacting stepped in as the replacement for a contractor that I hired and then never showed up to do the job. They were prompt, professional and are the only reason that my project was successful. The workmanship was superior, and the detailed tile work they did came out beautiful. There are so many contractors to choose from in these times, but True North is above and beyond the rest. Look no further if you want an honest professional contractor that not only shows up, but also provides amazing workmanship at a fair price."

Customers say: True professional

"Originally, Gavin offered to do the whole roof on the house and shed for $6,500 - but without signing a contract or agreement and without an appointment he showed up at our house on 8/17/24 at 6:00 AM and we were awakened by a man taking shingles off our roof. He said he needed materials and asked for $5,000. His worker had already taken half the roof shingles off of the roof in the back. We were expecting heavy rain for two days, so we had no choice but to pay him the $5,000 to fix the roof. Then later he said he needed $1,500 more for materials to finish the back and we paid him that. When he finished the back he said that he still needed $4,500 to finish the front roof which he received money every time he came to work on the roof. All for a total of $11,000 when originally he said he would do the house and shed roof for $6,500. (See checks below). The final check was paid on September 3, 2024, for $1,000 annotated Paid in Full and cashed by Gavin. (See checks below with amounts paid on dates) 8/17/24. Ck #1017 $5,000 8/24. 1019 $3,000 8/30. 1021 $1,000 8/31. 1047 $1.000 9/3. 1241 $1,000 Then, again without notification or appointment, we were awakened early in the morning on September 7, 2024, by Gavin taking shingles off of the shed. I came out in my pajamas and told him to stop because we had no more money to spend and we could not pay him anymore. I went out several times and told him that we could pay no more to stop the work. He just shrugged and kept on working after he was told and asked to stop. Later that day he came to the door and asked me for $500 for materials and I told him again that we had no more money to spend. Then, a couple of days ago he texted me and said he would like to come by tomorrow and collect $1,000 for the work done on the shed. We did not ask him to do the shed and told him numerous times that we could pay no more. Quoting a price to do a job and then arbitrarily adding on again and again to where the cost is more than doubled the original price is not a reputable way to do business. Gavin said that he would give me a very low price because I am a veteran and 82 years old. Even though I assume he did a good job I feel like this method of doing business is not right."

"We had a project to repair a leak on a small Copper and Rubber roof. We started by looking at Angie's list to find roofers in the Watertown area and immediately Capital construction lept to the top. Their reviews were literally through the roof. I can also say that our own experience with them met and surpassed the reviews I had read. When I called, they immediately answered and were able to come out and assess the situation within 2 days. I met with Jude and Dave and I found them to be knowledgable, professional, honest and very easy to work with. We got a quote at that point and went ahead with scheduling the project. The whole team at Capital Construction kept us informed on the status and when they could come out to repair the roof. They worked with me to find a good date/time. Their customer communication is world class. They performed the repairs, cleaned up the site, and we could not be happier with the results. We would definitely recommend Capital Construction to anyone with a roofing or any home project."

FAQs for flat, foam, or single ply roofing installation and replacement projects in Sanford, ME

Many roofing pros point to PVC as the top performer on flat roofs thanks to its tough seams and long-term waterproofing. A properly installed PVC membrane can last 30 years or more, resisting ponding water and harsh weather with ease. You will pay more up front than you would for EPDM, but the added durability often translates into fewer repairs and a lower cost per year of service.

Yes, a rubber roof is an environmentally friendly choice. Most rubber membranes contain recycled content and can reflect heat, which helps trim cooling bills in hot weather. Manufacturing has a lighter footprint than many traditional materials, and the long lifespan means fewer tear-offs headed to the landfill. If sustainability is a priority, ask your roofer about brands that carry third-party eco-certifications and confirm they meet local environmental standards.
