"I appreciated the prompt and courteous service, especially considering how busy all the local roofing companies have been repairing damage from the November windstorm. Our kitchen skylight started leaking, and they sent someone out to take a look within three hours of my call. The employee was very professional and courteous. Upon inspection, he was unable to locate the source of the leak because everything appeared in good repair. He applied a bead of silicone and said he hoped that would stop the leak. It didn't, at all. In fact, the leak continued to worsen. Later that day, McVay brother's called to get my credit card number. Their employee didn't bill me at the time of service because he was unsure what the charge would be. They charged $150.00, which seems pretty steep for such a quick service call that did nothing to address the problem. The woman I spoke with on the phone was very polite and apologetic when I explained why I felt the charge was too high, however, nothing was done to amend the bill. Despite the friendly service, I will not be a repeat customer. <br> <br>"

"Because there was so much damage throughout the region from the windstorm, especially due to falling trees, I had an extremely difficult time trying to get any roofing company to come take a look and give me an estimate for repairs on this rental property. Everyone was swamped for months. And priority was given to roofs that needed complete replacing, vs. partial repairs. Finally, Jimmy's Roofing agreed to come take a look. Unbeknownst to me, a contractor friend who had heard me talking about my frustration, had decided to help out, and had come and done part of the repairs just before Charles, a Jimmy's Roofing employee, come by to provide an estimate. I'd imagine Charles might have been unhappy to take the time to come by only to find most of the work done. But instead, he called me not only to let me know, but to pass on some information about part of the work that still needed to be done (although most was complete, some shingles still needed to be replaced and some dented edges of the roof also hadn't been fixed). This was very minor, not something Jimmy's would have expected to get involved in -- but Charles was still kind enough to take the time to let me know that he had come by, and noticed these repairs still incomplete --and thought I might want to know. I appreciated this extra effort so much! If ever I need another roof repair or a replacement in the future, I will definitely contact Jimmy's first because Charles made such a good impression on me!"

"Stacy Carlon (Core Construction) has been to our home several times over the past two years.  He has always been precisely on time, is polite and respectful, and he has succeeded in doing many projects around our home.  These projects include fixing doors that wouldn't close properly, fixing my chest of drawers, assembling an intricate dollhouse for our granddaughter, fixing kitchen cabinets, re-attaching our mail box, repairing a small European carousel, and repairing a broken garage door.  In fact, we haven't given him a challenge that he hasn't met.  His prices are fair and his work is excellent.  We will hire him in the future for sure."

"We bought our home 2 years ago and in the inspection we were told that the roof would last about 3-5 years. So we saved our money and started to get bids from several different roofing companies last fall. We talked to the previous owner who was so kind and he told us about Greater American Construction because he had them install the windows and the siding over the last several years. I called Debbie and she had her husband Curt come out last fall and take a look at the roof. Since there was 2 roofs already on the house we knew it would be a complete tear down. Curt got up on the roof took lots of measurment and we talked and he wrote the bid up. We ran out of time and winter came. In the spring we called Curt back to see if the bid would have changed and the price had not change. We call a couple of other companies back that we saw last year and all of them had an increase in price anywhere from 5-15% more. We then called Debbie and signed the contract. <br /> It took about a little over a month to get on the schedule but once a date was set everything came together prefectly. There were 5 guys who came everyday and they were all on time, present to talk to, and cleaned up wonderfully everyday! Tom the head boss was very nice and we had 3 fan vents that needed to be extended out through the roof and he was the one who did the work. He did an excellent job as well as his crew! It was the hottest week I think we had every had and these guys worked a full day up on the roof. They all spoke english and I never felt scared, in facted I liked joking with them. <br /> All our neighbors all watched the progress and I have given one of them their business card. When we need to have our gutters done next we will be calling Greater American Contruction. Great people, great price!! <br />"

"Work was ok but 1. They left a huge mess that took me 8 hours to clean up (with a broken wrist), 2. I had to hire someone to clean the high windows that they got paint on, 3. I had to pay extra to the carpets cleaners to clean up all the paint drops and 4. They ruined the remaining gallon or so of paint by leaving a roller from the primer in it, making it worthless for touchups."
