"I don't write reviews often, but in this case I must. We were served by Diego and Nathan who were extraordinary. My wife and I are architects and have repaired a few homes and did much of the work ourselves. but we were not going to tackle lifting the foundation nor leveling the sloping floors. the planning was tricky for us all due to COVID, but once we got going, we were completely satisfied with the work, the service, and the good humor of the Foundation Solutions team. Diego and Nathan were communicative, clean, hard working and had a fine attention to detail. And we had a lot of fun together. there are other foundation repair companies that are more 'slick' , but Foundation Solutions is the real thing. they know their work and do it well."

"I purchased a home which was built in 1950 and was sitting on a crumbling brick foundation. We got a few estimates as the floors were uneven and weak. Built Strong Construction provided photos, references and their price was not the highest nor lowest. They did an incredible job, replaced the entire damaged brick foundation and within just a week I have a brand new concrete foundation! My floors are even, supported and I’m very impressed. Thank"

"Was your world recently turned UPSIDE DOWN?? Our family’s world certainly was and has been for quite some time. I’m still trying to put it together but it takes time and a great team of experts. SCI IS TRULY AMAZING!!!!! My family and I are very grateful for the work SCI has completed in our home. We have worked with SCI for several months now :) They get to know YOU, by your name, your needs, and actually truly focus on your needs. Anyone that has required a service of this type of restoration, understands exactly what I mean. In this type of project, one is not only stressed out, but the emotional toll from unexpected events can be very hard at times on folks….SCI staff are very supportive and understanding. I was really impressed from the level of communication and organization from the very beginning. Then when the work began, I “assumed,” the construction crew, would just follow the “bosses order and do their thing.” Well….yes and NO. We were actually INCLUDED…..who does that???? All of the staff are not only professional like I said, but they were/are supportive of their customers going through this difficult time!!! They don’t blow you off, don’t ignore you, and when a family is trying to gather the pieces of their life once again, this truly means everything to the family whom is trying to restore everything back again to “normal.” Granted, it takes time. This process of demo-to-rebuild can be nerve wrecking, frustrating, and difficult. However, if you find the right team, and the right staff to support you in your very own home to literally rebuild the pieces once again….its not just a “thank you & good job ?,” its a BLESSING. THANK YOU SOOOO MUCH SCI, (a big shout out to Matt & Ed-who put up with me the most :) along with Coty, Ryan, Alan, Casey, Brandon and all the staff at the office whom I don’t know by name that make this process come to fruition once a person makes the call ☎️). These pro’s do it all…from remodel to repairs, fire/smoke/water restoration, mold abatement and other services. As a real estate agent myself, I will only refer my family, friends, and clients to SCI. I can only work with folks I trust, and these guys well, are IT! Look ? no more."

"Amboy Korling and his assistant were extremely polite and professional.  They did nice work, particularly on the door frame, where looks are critical.  They arrived at 8 am, with materials, and set up their table saw on the patio. They plugged it in and began work.  They were finished at about 4 pm, on a job that could easily have taken 2 days.   <br /> They replaced the rotted header for the door with a nice piece of 4x4 lumber.  They replaced the casing for the door, making sure that the original door would still fit.  It looks great and all we need is to have it painted. <br /> They cut and installed extensions for about 40 rafters under the eaves.  The original rafters were rounded at the end so that they would not take a gutter.  The extensions will allow us to get well-placed gutters.  Our present gutters were installed with a crude system that led to the dry rot problem. <br /> The original plan had been for them to add a downspout in the middle of the gutter on one side of the house, but after looking at the relatively simple installation of the gutters they left that out, and cut $200 from the price.  However, they tilted the gutter so that it would drain to the far end: if the original installer had done this, the dry rot wouldn't have happened to begin with. <br /> We're now on our way to having the woodwork of the entire house painted, and new gutters installed, but those are tasks for other contractors.   <br /> This was a great repair to something that I had despaired of getting fixed.  <br /> <br />"

FAQs for concrete foundation repair projects in Santa Maria, CA

Visible cracks, water leaks, uneven floors, or walls that won’t line up are classic red flags. You might also notice sticking windows, doors that no longer latch, or exterior cracks crawling up brick or siding. Even a damp, musty basement can hint at trouble. If you spot any of these, call a foundation pro right away. Early inspections cost far less than waiting until the damage threatens your home’s stability.

Yes, foundation problems impact your home’s value. Buyers want proof that the foundation is stable, and a recent, professional repair can actually boost confidence in your home. You’ll need to disclose the work, but documentation showing the structure was properly stabilized, especially with piers in regions known for shifting soil, often reads as a plus, not a problem. Skipping repairs, on the other hand, can cut your sale price and shrink the pool of interested buyers. Taking care of the issue protects both value and peace of mind.

Foundations are engineered for exceptional longevity when constructed correctly and maintained diligently. Concrete slab foundations remain structurally sound for 200 years, while other foundation types deliver integrity between 75 and 100 years. Regular professional inspections and timely maintenance further secure a foundation’s lifespan and ensure your home stays safe over the long term.
