Customers say: True professional

"Mike and his crew were excellent throughout the project. We couldn’t be more thrilled with the outcome. The new concrete really elevated our curb appeal. I would definitely hire him again, as this is the second project he has done for us. He replaced the driveway at our previous home with the same stellar results."

"I highly recommend Travis. Every contact was professional. He came out to discuss the job and gave a firm price. He kept me informed about when he would be back to do the work. He completed the work in one day and completely cleaned up. I am extremely happy with the wall. He interlaced existing stone with additional new stone so it would blend in with the original section. He even pinned and glued a section that someone else had incorrectly built."

"Everything was perfect. Matt and crew, that would include Joyce, are simply wonderful. Everyone was knowledgeable and professional. They answered all my questions and even made some suggestions, which I took. Quality of work done was top notch. I LOVE my new door. They are my go-to garage door professionals. Mary Ann P."

"They poured a sidewalk for me in August 2021. Was selling a house and needed it done fairly quickly. I got an estimate and had the sidewalk poured within 2 weeks. Did a great job and their price was more than reasonable. Would definitely use them again"

"For my project, Gino and his employees built a new concrete driveway, sidewalks, and steps; applied an overlay for my front stoop; and built a Versa-Lok retaining wall. Gino and his employees communicated very respectfully to my husband, me, and neighbors. Their work was very conscientious. I think that their work looks very, very nice."

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Sarver, PA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
