"After some frustration with our previous plumber of 15 years I called Malone emergently due to a leak in the kitchen ceiling that several other contractors had not been able to solve. The person I spoke to on the phone was friendly and enthusiastic and extremely upfront with me on exactly how billing would work. He dispatched a plumber who was there 45 minutes after my original call! The plumber, John, was exactly the sort of experienced, seasoned expert I was seeking. He correctly identified the source of the leak, repaired the problem, meticulously explaining the problem and giving me opportunities to clean where appropriate once he removed the toilet. The pricing was exactly as advertised and he even went out of his way to make sure I used an Angie's list coupon when I forgot. "George is very responsive and comes when he says, and does excellent work. We were really impressed with the plumbing job.  A very pricey hot water faucet handle had corroded out - the company (Grohe) doesn't even make that anymore in the finish we have (polished brass) so there would have been no way to replace it. It was badly leaking when the COLD water was turned on - while this was the hot water handle!  Very wierd. A plumber had looked at it a while ago and couldn't fix it. We were worried we'd need to replace it,which would have meant replacing the entire set up in the bathroom sink (a comparable set up would have been at least $600 without installation!!!), and that wouldn't have matched the tub. But George took it all apart, took pictures, contacted Grohe to figure out the best way to repair it, and after a lot of time that he didn't charge us for, was able to fix it. Oh, and the plumber who had looked at it  earlier had pried it off and scratched it; George was very careful not to damage the finish.    He did other things for us too - fixed a futon on the spot when we first contacted him and didn't charge us for that; did a beautiful job rebuilding a closet door that was made in such a way that the clothes wouldn't fit and had been constantly falling off. We had kept trying to put that door back on its tracks and it would fall off again after a while.  George immediately suggested the smart thing to do was just rebuild the whole thing, pulling it out a bit and installing new matching woodwork. He did a beautiful job on that, and now it works once and for all. And so forth. We highly recommend him. <br />"
