"Excellent!! I’ve been a customer of Major Homes for 28 years. If you’re planning to renovate and want a fair, honest, competitive bid, I strongly suggest you contact Major Homes before awarding any contract. My first project with them involved replacing my windows and siding:  Major Homes was bidding against a vendor I used for similar work at my previous home. Mitch Kersch, the owner of Major Homes, provided various manufacturers’ product samples and took extra time to discuss in detail the pros and cons of each alternative and related pricing.  A portion of the back of my house is dormered. Mitch did not try to pad the job. He pointed out that the siding on the dormer looked to be in good shape and was a close match to what I selected for the rest of the house. In his opinion, it wasn’t necessary to replace. I gave the contract to Major Homes confident I was not only getting good value for my dollar, more importantly, confident they would stand behind their work. I’ve never regretted that decision. Mitch believes in developing long term relationships and really does stand behind his work. Some examples:  After a major storm a few slats in my siding came loose. Mitch immediately sent his men over to do whatever repairs were necessary. The repairs were done free of charge - this was almost 12 years after they did the installation!  I have a Pella sliding door. One of the doors came off track and I couldn’t get it back on track. Although Major Homes did not install the door, Mitch sent one of his workers over to see if they could help me out. His man did repair the door, at no charge.  Sets you up with local vendors offering discounts on plumbing fixtures, cabinetry, floor/wall tiles and appliances. (As compared to pricing I received from 2 major appliance vendors, I saved enough on my purchase of new kitchen appliances through Mitch’s vendor to pay for a 3 year extended warranty on all 4 appliances). Over the past 28 years, in addition to windows and siding, Major Homes has: replaced the roof on my house; installed a new front door; installed new heavy duty gutters and downspouts; replaced the sky lights and roof on a screened-in room extension to my house; totally renovated my kitchen and bathroom and replaced the wood floor in my foyer. Major Homes also totally renovated a kitchen and 2 bathrooms at my son’s condo. Mitch's project manager had to work closely with the condo's property manager, providing all necessary certificates of insurance and resolving a unique problem with back-flush toilets. Completed work had to pass an inspection by the condo's property manager. I don’t even bother to get competitive bids anymore. With Major Homes I know I’m getting a fair price, that the work will be overseen by a competent project manager, completed as scheduled by friendly, professional workers. I plan to replace the siding on my dormer next month (Sept.’17). Without hesitation, I gave Major Homes the contract."
