"Jill and her team and wonderful. She has been cleaning my home for 2 years. She is kind and comes in my home with respect. I love that she is flexible with her schedule to fit my needs. Her prices are reasonable and her cleaning is timely and top notch! I love that she brings her own supplies and always make sure all the details of my home are neat and tidy like dusting the blinds and wiping the faucets. I really appreciate her attention to detail. I highly recommend Jill and her cleaning work."

"Randall quoted a fair price. He initially said that they would have the job completed in a week. A month later, it was still not done. At the end (after we'd already made 2 payments) he rushed through the job to finish as quickly as possibly and get paid. He left our floorboards, doors, and ceiling looking spotty. He did a fine job painting, and made everything look much better (the previous owners had damaged the walls a lot). He did a good job with the installation of the bathroom vanity and mirrors, but was unable to do the new light as there was no conjunction box. Overall, IF you could get him to show up and he FELT like working he would do a good job. He was receptive to in-person feedback and a nice person. It was hard to get communication from him about things like when he would be working, there were days he'd show up and then leave an hour later. It's possible he overbooked himself for this job, but it ended up making himself look extremely unprofessional."

"A handyman/ contractor named Mike performed the work w/in my home. The Pros, included him being punctual, time- efficient and performing the work described w/o incident/ difficulty. I am pleased w/ the work. I was extremely dissatisfied w/ the price of the work however. Upon the initial assessment a price that I sincerely felt was inflated was given. I decided to address the immediate concerns w/in my home and given Covid did not want repeated people entering to gather a second estimate, I went w Mike. I paid 1/2 of the initial price as was policy at the start of him beginning to work w/in my home via Zelle. This was fine. He was unable to finish the work in one day, which was also fine and I asked him about add'l smaller projects w/in my home that he had the option to accept/ decline. He accepted. One was to perform a job similar in size/ labor as a previous job we had discussed that was no longer needed. I suggested the initial price either be lowered or the jobs swapped as an even exchange. A second job was placing a recessed lighbulb where one had previously burned out. He agreed. Upon of completion of the work the remaining balance increased by a little over $200. I was stunned. He did not swap out the initial job as was implied since he NEVER stated otherwise and charged me $100 to place new handles on my kitchen cabinets and charged me $50 to insert the lightbulb. Given that he is a stranger and I am not looking for fights I paid him in full and asked him to leave my home. I felt taken advantage of, ****** and would never refer such a greedy individual to anyone- which is a shame b/c while advancing himself upwards of $200 he ultimately lost thousands in certain call- backs I would have made and referrals I would have gladly given."

"He did a great job. I just needed something simple done to our landscape and our church and the job was done nicely and cleanup was perfect without a need for me to follow up on making sure it was done. I will us them again."

FAQs for sod installation projects in Schneider, IN

Seeding costs less up front, but you’ll wait months—and sometimes a full season—for the grass to fill in. Sod costs more per square foot, yet it gives you an instant, usable lawn the day it’s installed and needs far less care during the first year.

If speed and early curb appeal matter, the higher sod price is often worth it; if you’re watching every dollar and don’t mind the wait, seed can still be a smart play.

Start by sketching your lawn and breaking it into rectangles or circles. Measure each section, multiply length by width, and then add all the sections together for the total square footage. Standard sod rolls are two feet by 1.5 feet, and one pallet covers 450 square feet.

Divide your total area by 450 to see how many pallets you need, then round up—extras come in handy for cutting around curves or mistakes. Still unsure? A local sod supplier or installer can confirm your math before you order.

Most sod grips the soil within 10 to 14 days. During that stretch, keep foot traffic to a minimum and mow only if the grass gets tall. After two weeks, the roots should be strong enough for light use, but wait six weeks before heavy play or frequent mowing. Giving the grass that short honeymoon helps it anchor firmly and sets the stage for a durable, healthy lawn.

Give your new lawn two full weeks before any foot traffic, then stick to light use only. Hold off on vigorous play, parties, or regular mowing until the six-week mark so the roots can dig deep. Keep watering on schedule and watch for any dry patches. A little patience now means stronger turf and fewer repairs later.

Keep an eye on color, moisture, and even growth. Fresh sod should stay uniformly green; brown spots or gaps hint at dry soil or poor contact. Water deeply at least once a day for the first week (more in hot weather) and back off gradually after the roots take. Avoid heavy foot traffic until the grass feels firmly anchored. Quick attention to trouble spots now prevents costly patches later.

Aim for spring or early fall when daytime temps hover between 55°F and 80°F. Mild weather and consistent moisture help the roots knit quickly. Laying sod in midsummer can stress the grass, while frozen winter soil blocks rooting altogether.

If you must install outside the ideal window, budget extra time for watering and tending to the turf. Choosing the right season makes the job easier and the lawn tougher.
