Before it could be replaced, everything had to be removed -- four layers of rotted, previously laid flooring, including two that were tiles, all the way down to and including the subflooring. The price was reasonable, especially considering the difficulties that arose: trying to find a rare type of flooring that I wanted, a Jacuzzi tub with a broken skirt, and the need for specialized molding to complete the job and leave it looking seamless and professional.
