"Jeremie came out the same day we called and gave us a recommendation and a solution to our problem. The next week his crew was delivering materials and getting ready to install our new drains and asphalt driveway for the following day. The work commenced as planned, however, the grade was so steep that they had to do most of the prep work by hand and all the asphalt installation by hand. My wife and I thought that was difficult enough, but they did all this during the hottest two days of the summer. Great job during very trying circumstances. We love our new driveway. "Just the facts: Our house is two-stories and 1700 sq ft; not large. The quoted price for a new roof, repair/replace/clean the gutters, and rebuild/cap one chimney was @ $19,000. Once the work was started and shingles removed, Sean said the wood on the roof was in bad shape and needed to be replaced as well. This would add the price of plywood (they used MDF) plus two extra days of labor for 6 workers. For this he charged an additional 46,000, bringing the cost of the job to @65,000. Lesson learned: ask for a quote that includes the chance that the wood on your roof would need to be replaced with plywood. If we’d known BEFORE they tore off the shingles that it would triple the cost, we would have shopped around for a better price. The workers were excellent and the job was well-done; the project was simply way too costly."

"I CALLED PRO PAVING TWICE BEFORE THEY CAME. ONE OF THE SONS CAME ON A SATURDAY, MEASURED THE DRIVEWAY IN THE RAIN, AND GAVE US A WRITTEN EXPLANATION OF WHAT WOULD BE DONE. THE COST WOULD BE $2200. WE HAD ALREADY RECEIVED TWO OTHER ESTIMATES, BOTH HIGHER AMOUNTS THAN THE PRO PAVING ESTIMATE. ONE OF THOSE WAS ABOUT THE SAME AMOUNT OF WORK, THE OTHER WOULD HAVE BEEN A LESS COMPLETE JOB. TWO DAYS LATER, ON MONDAY MORNING, I CALLED TO SAY THAT WE HAD DECIDED TO GO WITH PRO PAVING. WHEN I ASKED ABOUT SCHEDULING, MUCH TO MY SURPRISE I WAS TOLD THAT THEY COULD COME THE VERY NEXT DAY. THEY WOULD BE DOING A JOB IN THE NEXT TOWN OVER IN THE AFTERNOON, BUT THE MORNING WAS OPEN. THEY ARRIVED AT SEVEN A.M. (THREE DAYS AFTER THEIR ESTIMATE VISIT!) AND WERE DONE WITH THE JOB BY 11:00. THEY WERE POLITE, PERSONABLE, AND FUNNY. WE WATCHED THEM WORK, AND OUR NEXT DOOR NEIGHBORS BROUGHT OUT CHAIRS TO WATCH. PRO PAVING WAS VERY EFFICIENT."

"Gomez painting did an excellent job and were dedicated to getting this large project done so that we could move in on an aggressive time line (7 days)! They had a large crew working long hours to knocked out 3000sq ft including very tall/large (in some areas 30 ft) ceilings. I would recommend them! They didn’t kill me on price and they were a pleasure to work with. Will be hiring again for other projects in the future."

"Required repair to a front dormer , which was one immediately and cost an additional $350.00 that day. Horizontal third floor gutters were cleared of debris, but apparently not the vertical draining pipes. The dormer repair failed within months. I requested n estimate for replacement of the roof, which was provided soon thereafter. I have been in discussion of the cost of the portion of the roof needing repair first, planning to have the second half done early next year. Marshall Home Pros told me that they needed to have a 50% deposit a month ahead, in order to get a permit from the city. Meanwhile, have gotten an estimate from another company, clearly written, asking for somewhat less than the total cited by Marshall. I was told that no permit is needed (angles and height of roof are not going to be changed), and without needing to hold $$ for as long. Deposit proportion is less (not really the issue except that I didn't want $$ held for 30 days or more before work date would even be assured), and readiness to do the work within a shorter period, and within a day with a large crew, to minimize disruption to residents here and nearby. Materials and specs are the same for both estimates. My degree of trust in both is not. I signed with the other company."
