After contacting them early in the summer to get a bid it took until early fall before we could get the fence built due to poor communications with the company and neighbors. "These guys originally built this  fence 10 years ago, did a fantastic job and we had them it stain as well at the time ( well worth the $400 cost then).  It has held up very well but had become faded by the sun in places and was hit by some hail last summer.  After a false start with another company, Sal with Barletta came out to look at it, gave me a very good price and then Francisco came later to power wash and then again to apply the stain several days later.   He was very polite and thorough.  He did get a little sloppy with the overspray but cheerfully came out again the next day to clean that up.    The 10 year old fence looks brand new. <br />"

"Greg and his employee installed the fence very quickly. We discussed the design of it, and Greg got our final approval before any holes were drilled. He was able to install the fence within a week of coming to our home and educating us about Protect-A-Child pool fences. We chose this company because of the features of their particular fence and because it has an established A+ rating with the BBB. I also called two references that Greg provided, and they were happy with their fences and the service. Greg offers aluminum or fiberglass poles. We especially liked the latches that connect the pool fence sections together, as they are harder for a child to figure out than others that are out there. We also liked that the poles lock into their deck sleeves and do not require tools to unlock. Other companies either do not have this feature or require tools to remove the poles. I feel that the fence is user-friendly for adults but cannot be compromised by a child (of course always supervise and do not let children drag patio furniture close to a fence)! I am a slightly paranoid first-time mom and did my research and compared a lot of fences! The price was also good, and came in cheaper than another quote that I got for a fence that I feel was not as good. I highly recommend Greg and Protect-A-Child!"

"This review is for a fence that was installed a year ago. I wanted to see how the fence held up before offering insights and advice about the product and service that I received. When I first contacted Marcus in late 2015, he was very quick make an appointment for the estimate. When he arrived, he was punctual, polite, and thorough in his assessment. He asked a lot of questions and offered several style options for us to choose from. Samples of his work were right in the bed of his pickup truck, and his written estimate was fully detailed. Let me say right away that Marcus’ estimate was the highest that we received, but not outrageously so. We’ve seen a lot of poorly installed low-quality fencing, some right in our own neighborhood, and we were convinced that the fence that Marcus would build would be both robust and beautiful. Marcus uses hand dipped Western Red Cedar for the pickets and pressure-treated pine for the parts of the fence which make ground contact. On our property, he also installed extra posts and a retaining wall 3 feet down to ensure that we had no problems with the grade in years to come. The installation took 2 days, and the crew was right on time each day. They worked very hard all day long, without rushing anything, and they were very careful in their removal of the existing fence as well as the installation of the new fence. The hardware used, from the screws and nails to the door latches, posts, and hinges were all top of the line. The end result was fantastic - easily the best looking fence on the block, being new, but the method of construction makes it clear from 50 feet away that this fence is built to last. Now, a full year later, the fence is exactly as it was originally installed. The dark walnut brown stain has lightened to a more copper-like shade, which I like very much. My wife and I couldn’t be happier with the fence! We will have Marcus re-stain in a couple of years to restore and protect our investment. I can’t thank Marcus and his crew enough for their excellent craftsmanship and for their commitment to their customers. We enjoy our fence every single day, as well as the peace of mind that comes with something that is really, truly, done right.
