"The project turned out great and really transformed the livability of both the indoor and outdoor space in our home. I highly recommend Global Deco for your next project. Diego was very easy to work with and he had one of the best framing crews I’ve seen. As with any project there are always challenges to overcome but Diego calmly worked through all of them. He also provided some great design suggestions that contributed to a great looking final project. I added a number of items that were not contemplated in his original bid and he was very open and transparent in his pricing. He’s got a great attitude and listens to his clients."

"It went so well and they did exactly what the contract said that they would do. Our contract was specific that left nothing to misunderstand about what I wanted done or they to do. They were working with 24 year old oak cabinets and were exact in matching corners & fronts of those old cabinets. It all looks so good. I worked with the owners daughter. The owner was very nice also. The carpenters were a pleasure to work with. They did their work and then the owner would call or text me to ask it there was anything that needed their attention. The payment process was excellent in that it was all done on Intuit and could come directly out of my checking account."

"AMW Painting were excellent to deal with and performed all the work efficiently with high quality workmanship. They are general contractors as well. Their team replaced our old carpets and old tile with new porcelain floors on the ground level and carpet upstairs. They showed up every day on time and cleaned up every day when they left. They also worked on Saturdays. They attended to every detail in a professional manner and were nice to have around. We were living in the house during the reno with the exception of 2 nights at a hotel during the oil base paint application, due to fumes. They started work within 10 days of receiving our go ahead, so we didn't have long to wait for them to begin the 3 week project. We will be using this company for further work on our old house and recommend them highly. I could confidently leave the house during the day knowing that either Aaron Namaki or his brother Chris Walsh were in charge of the work team - usually 4 or 5 of them at any time, were on the job. They also installed new overhead fans and replaced many light switches."

"Ever and team performed outstanding, high-quality work. Job required a 10-hour day, and they worked all the way until the job was done. At first, the exterior rotten wood was removed, and wood rot was so extensive on the bottom beam, the windows needed to be removed. (The aluminum energy windows are expensive dual-pane with argon gas, and they were very careful removing them). After removing the windows, they replaced all interior and exterior wood trim with new high-grade pine, and treated wood where required. New window sills were also installed, as well as all interior molding. Insulation foam was sprayed in any air gaps between sheet rock and wood. Some sheet rock below a window was also damaged, so they replaced it and sprayed "mud" to match the texture of the interior wall paint. Ever and team used my exterior latex paint (Valspar-Supreme) and my interior oil (Sherwin-WIlliams), since I always use oil paint on interior window trim and sills. Overall, very satisfied, since the work quality is so high, and I know the totally replaced interior/exterior woodwork around the windows with new caulking/paint is better than "new construction." The job was essentially historic home restoration. Ever and team also does kitchens, bathrooms, floors, custom bookshelves, etc."

"Osvaldo and his helpers were outstanding in all aspects.  Went above and beyond to do the job right and even helped out with other small jobs during the remodel, just to be helpful with no added charge.  Superb craftsman; unbeatable value compared to store bought junk with veneers.  Amazing results! <br /> Very highest recommendation! <br />"

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Sealy, TX

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
