"They were very responsive up front and scheduled the work quickly. Arrived on the day and helped us complete some other work at no additional charge while waiting for cement to arrive. Unfortunatley one of the workers walked across the patio and left mud boot marks that will not come out. We attempted to contact Sam multiple times however, after the first time he answered via text he stoped responding and never came out to address the issue. We are now stuck with permanent boot marks in our patio. They also requested to be paid in full up front but backed off when we offered to put half down. Otherwise we were pretty happy with the work but very disappointed that they did not respond or even come by to see if there was anything they could do to help fix the issue."

"Mike and his team did an absolutely amazing job on our stamped concrete patio. 6 years later it still looks brand new. I reached out to Mike to ask about what sealer he recommended and could not be happier with the outcome. I highly recommend Mike and his friendly crew at gravity builders"

"We just had our driveway, pathway to the house and stairs redone by Luis Elite Concrete LLC. They came out within two days of signing the contract and were finished in 2.5 days. Their bid was very fair. The project was done beautifully and with care and the gentlemen that did the work were hardworking, polite, eager to help and cleaned up the site when they left every day. I would definitely recommend them if you need concrete work. https://www.luiseliteconcretellc.com"

"Orlando and crew did a great job with landscaping a joined backyard and our front yard. He had to take direction from multiple parties and get 4-5yds of mulch into a tricky close quarters, hilly portion of land in South Seattle. They cleaned up the dirt that was inevitably tracked onto our front porch before leaving, too. Highly recommended, will use Groview for yard maintenance in the future!"

FAQs for concrete patios, walks & steps installation projects in Seattle, WA

Most sidewalks rely on a ready‑mix blend of Portland cement, sand, gravel, and water that trucks deliver to your site and pour in one continuous lift. For added strength, many contractors fold in fiber mesh or steel reinforcement. This mix cures into a rock‑solid slab that stands up to foot traffic, freeze‑thaw cycles, and daily wear for decades. Expect a pro to recommend a 4‑inch‑thick pour for standard walkways.

With the right mix, proper drainage, and routine upkeep, a concrete sidewalk can last 25 to 50 years. Freeze‑thaw cycles, road salt, and heavy loads all shorten that timeline, but sealing every few years and patching small cracks early keeps damage in check. Think of sealing as inexpensive insurance for decades of safe, stable footing. In milder climates, some slabs push well past the 30‑year mark without major repairs.

Concrete sidewalks crack as a result of significant temperature fluctuations and heavy load pressures. The freeze-thaw cycles and sustained weight from vehicles or intense foot traffic force the concrete to develop cracks over time. Applying a premium sealant every two to three years and substituting salt with sand for de-icing minimizes crack formation. Regular maintenance and timely repairs safeguard the sidewalk’s structural integrity and extend its service life.
