"After finding this company on the Angie's List site, I contacted them regarding the problems at my son's house. He scheduled to meet me that week. He determined the septic tank needed to be pumped and assisted with scheduling. They came that day so he was able to return the next morning and complete the work he had started. I am pleased with his work and would recommend him to anyone."

"<p>POLYBUTYLENE WATER PIPES ? My home, like many others, was built in ?94 using PB pipes. I recently noticed standing water in my yard. I thought it was my next door neighbor?s problem. We soon learned it was my water leak. I called American Leak Detection. They determined the leak was in the middle of my LR floor in the concrete slab. I was told if I only repaired the one leak I could have another in a week/month/ year in another spot. After researching the enormous problems with the PB pipe I decided to abandon them entirely & run all new water lines. <br /> <br /></p> <p>I called 3 plumbers for estimates. One told me it would take 3 men 5 or 6 days & my house would be pretty much destroyed in the process. He said floors & ceilings would have to be cut out & I wouldn?t be able to stay in the house because I wouldn?t have any water. He wanted the job but wouldn?t give an estimate. The next guy looked at it & never called me back. <br /> <br /></p> <p>Then Tim Mote Plumbing came out. The gentlemen were very professional, & actually took some measurements. They called the next day with the estimate & said it would only take 2 days with a minimal amount of destruction, mostly sheet rock removal. I was prepared to cover my furniture but they said it wouldn?t be necessary. They said I wouldn?t be without water & I could stay in the house. <br /> <br /></p> <p>When they were finished they cleaned up the areas where they worked. I still had to replace the sheet rock but they were so neat when they removed it, all we had to do was insert the cutouts back in the holes, do a little ?mud? & spackle repair & paint a little & it was done! <br /> <br /></p> <p>I couldn?t be more pleased with the results. If you have Polybutylene pipes in your home & need them replaced, these people know what they are doing. In the future I will call only Tim Mote Plumbing for all water related needs.</p> <br />"

"On RW’s initial visit our issue was reviewed and corrective options were presented with the cost for each. We agreed on a work solution and for the work to take place the next business day. The work was completed as planned in less time and was less expensive than planned. We are very pleased with RW’s implemented solution. The crew was engaging, friendly as well as professional. The office contact was a pleasure to work with also. We have already contracted for future work by RW."

"Was told when called of the 120.00 rate. Turned out to be about 1000.00 for at tops of 2.5 hours for a frost free outside faucet in which they actually broke during capping. I would not trust this company to handle a plumbing problem."

FAQs for plumbing installation for a remodel or addition projects in Senatobia, MS

Adding bathroom plumbing to a detached garage starts with the basic line installation cost of $900 to $1,300. On top of this base expense, you'll need to budget for each fixture. A toilet costs  $250 to $550, sinks cost $150 to $800, and a shower or bathtub costs $400 to $1,900. The project will also require ventilation, moisture-resistant materials, and possibly electrical work. Remember that these costs reflect only the plumbing aspects—additional construction, finishing, and permitting expenses will apply to complete a functional bathroom space.

While certain aspects of garage renovation might be suitable for DIY enthusiasts, plumbing installation requires professional expertise. Connecting to water and sewer systems demands specialized knowledge and equipment, and improper installation can result in severe water damage, code violations, and potential health hazards. Most municipalities require permits for plumbing modifications, and these often stipulate that licensed professionals must perform work. Consider limiting your involvement to simpler tasks like painting or basic finishing work.

The timeframe for adding plumbing to a detached garage spans one to three days for the actual plumbing work. However, this represents only the active installation period. The complete project timeline must account for planning, obtaining permits (which can take weeks depending on your locality), coordinating multiple contractors if needed, and addressing any unexpected challenges that arise during installation. Weather conditions can also impact excavation and outdoor connection work.

Adding plumbing to a detached garage will likely increase your property taxes. Tax assessors consider plumbing an improvement that enhances property value and functionality. The specific tax impact varies by location and project scope. Converting a garage into living space with plumbing facilities can trigger significant reassessment in many jurisdictions. Before proceeding with your project, consult your local tax assessor's office to understand the potential tax implications and factor this ongoing expense into your decision-making process.
