"We had another company come out to evaluate the problem and give an estimate . They had poor customer service / said they would do what they thought was best . We felt we had no say in them doing the work . We immediately searched for another company . A family member referred us to another company who they had used We were so thankful . The 2 owners came out the next day /evaluated the problem / took us through the problem explained what they had to do to fix the problem . We scheduled the work . They even took pictures during each step . The job was done in a day as they said it would be . We are very satisfied with the outcome, everything works great . "We have used S&J Painting and Remodeling many times over the past 5 years, most recently (spring 2025) for handyman services. S&J provide services for a full day, so we typically accumulate a few projects. Our most recent project included replacing two faucets, fixing a very loose banister, repairing a hole in the drywall, as well as a few basic jobs, hanging pictures and installing bathroom fixtures. I expected to paint after the drywall and banister were repaired, but they took care of it for me. When replacing one of the faucets they found the supply lines were old and rusty. They went to Home Depot, purchased new supply lines and installed them at no extra cost. While there they picked up some brackets to secure some other loose pipes they happened to see while in the utility room. We really appreciate the extra attention to detail and doing more than we even realized needed done. We are already accumulating new projects. Scheduling and workday communication is excellent."

"I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the recent plumbing service I received from Len the Plumber. I paid nearly $300 for a technician to come out for 5 minutes, put a snake in the drain and leave.., yet it is now going on day three and the problem still has not been fixed. Two techs have been out to my home. I find this completely unacceptable. When a customer pays for professional service, they should not be left without a functioning toilet for days. I hoped for timely, effective, and professional service, and unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as this level of service does not reflect the reputation your company advertises. I hope for a prompt resolution to this matter. Thank you. "The service tech came to my home and did an assessment of the issue. Found the leak in the gas line, showed me where it was leaking. He told me what needed to be to fix the leak, gave me a quote, got his tools and started working. The whole process took about 30mins or less and he was done. I checked my burners to make sure the gas was flowing properly. Everything was put back in its original place and there was nothing to clean up afterwards. Great Job. I would recommend this company again."

"All work was completed in a professional manner from initial planning through all phases of construction. The job site was maintained as expected. AES worked with us on a few small changes we requested along the way as well. I felt very comfortable with all the craftsperson’s at work in our home. "We write this review as a sigh of relief now that our renovation project with River View is finally complete. The quality of the final work is excellent, and the construction crew, architect, and county inspector were all great to work with. The original crew we worked with, led by Edwin, were so hardworking, friendly, thorough, and fast. That's what really pushed us from 2 to 3 stars. However, the process getting here was frustrating and unnecessarily chaotic. Timeline & Communication Issues: Initial promise: We were clear that the renovation had to allow us to live in our home during construction and be completed before Christmas. Early communication: Our original project manager, Cris, was personable, and early communication seemed fine, if a bit informal and sometimes inappropriately personal. Major miscommunication: Near the holidays, we discovered that the plans submitted included cutting into the roof — something we explicitly said we didn’t want. This contradicted verbal assurances and caused major last-minute changes. Project Management Failures: Poor planning and oversight: Cris and the architect’s plan didn’t align with the construction work. We had to get involved directly with the county to fix errors. Paperwork errors: Incorrect submissions to the county added delays and confusion, which we had to monitor ourselves. Last-minute scramble: We were cleaning up dust on Christmas Eve due to these planning failures. Personnel Turnover & Lack of Handoff: Cris leaves the company: No proper handover to James, the new PM, who was unfamiliar with our project. Crew replaced: The original crew, who were great, were gone; new crew had no context or direction. James leaves: Another handoff with no context — the third PM had no idea about our project or its outstanding items. Escalation mishandled: When we raised our concerns with Kyle, the CEO, the response felt dismissive, with no accountability for the previous missteps. In summary, it's a beautiful end result... but we’re glad it’s over. The process left us frustrated, confused, and frankly, exhausted."
