Customers say: Terrific value

"Can’t say enough about how great we think they are! They have done work for us twice, and also for family members we recommended them to. They do great work, are very honest, and their pricing is very fair for the work they do (MUCH less expensive than other quotes from this area). They are the only ones we call if we have concrete needs ( they also built a nice deck for our daughter’s pool)!"

"RocketCrete Huntsville did a driveway repair/expansion for me and they did an exceptional job. They are quick, detailed, and very skilled at concrete jobs. The clean up and finished product was top notch and the owner as well as the workers were friendly and very professional. I will definitely be using RocketCrete Huntsville for any concrete jobs I need done in the future!"

"Great job with the slab (Koi Pond bottom). They did a good job with the parging (Koi Pond wall) but the result was not as even as I would have preferred. Not horrible, just not as even as it could have been."

"After contacting 3 companies we contracted Scott for the concrete portion of our home build. His punctuality, knowledge of the scope of work, and fair pricing was the deciding factors. When it was time, they arrived promptly and worked diligently to complete the project. Communication was great from start to finish and the product was top notch! Thanks for putting so much care and effort into our dream home!"

FAQs for concrete delivery projects in Sewanee, TN

The amount of concrete you need varies by project. One 80lb bag covers an area of about 2 square feet, for a slab 4 inches thick. Two 60lb bags of concrete cover an area of about 2 square feet for a slab that is 6 inches thick.

A truckload of concrete can usually hold a maximum of 10 cubic yards.

The cost of concrete per cubic yard depends on which brand you purchase, but usually costs about $110 for bags.

It takes about 41 bags of concrete to fill a cubic yard. Always plan to buy a few bags more than the exact required amount in case of mistakes.

To calculate the amount of concrete you need for a slab, you should find the cubic yardage of the area you will be filling. Just follow these steps:

  1. Measure the area in feet.

  2. Multiply length by width, and then by thickness.

  3. Divide the resulting number by 27 to find cubic yards.
