"EA Masonry came recommended by friends and Angie's List as well. The work they did was extensive--repairing 80 year old stone walls, widening our driveway and installing pavers instead of asphalt, reconstructing and reconfiguring the stairs coming down to the driveway, excavating and rebuilding walls. Their communication was excellent. They were fast but didn't cut a single corner. They worked closely with us to track down pavers that would match the walkway we had put in years ago. They added underground drainage from downspouts. And they are such nice guys! We have already arranged for them to do more work for us. I would recommend them without hesitation. We just could not be happier with the result."

"We replaced a large old pressure treated deck with a natural stone patio in addition to a new front walk (pavers). Between the patio and front walk, it included new granite steps at a total of 4 doorways (2 sliders, front door, and another rear entry door). They handled demolition and removal of my previous deck and front steps. We worked mostly with Justin. He’s absolutely great with communication staying in daily constant contact throughout the project. During planning and quoting, he was very honest and transparent about pricing and the breakdown between materials, labor, and time needed. He provided plans, drawings/elevations, and many pictures of similar projects/materials helping us make decisions before project start. He was also great at advice and recommendations, which is great if you were ever unsure about what exactly you want. His small team of workers were true professionals, very courteous, punctual and hardworking. I felt super comfortable with them at my home and with my children. They take pride in their work and I can’t rave enough about their transparency. Justin will tell you from the start that they are not the most expensive, and they are not the cheapest either. But there’s no question that they are one of the best at what they do (specifically at natural stone and paver based patios, walkways, driveways and other hardscape projects). Natural Path handled things that you (or at least myself) would not even think of when installing a new patio, such as drainage, drywells, flashing near steps, garden beds against house, etc... The stuff that you normally wouldn’t or don’t to think of. These things are not afterthoughts to them. They are undeniably great people to work with and would absolutely recommend them for any hardscape needs. I wouldn’t think twice about using them in the future."

"The team did a great job. Pedro was very responsive during the initial estimate and worked with me on project scoping and specs. Had a total of 2500 sqft asphalt removed, prepped for concrete, poured and finished. The team was willing to work with me when I had special requests / demands during site prep. Did a great job with the installation- rapid pour and high quality finish. Stayed within original estimate. Would definitely hire again"

"The owner Joe, seal coated our double driveway personally. Joe had completely excavated our previous driveway and replaced it with an expanded new one. He was on time for the date that we had scheduled. He used the highest quality sealer, known as Liquid Gold. Joe was meticulous in the application of the sealer and made sure the job was neat and clean upon completion. The end result was a professional driveway in both function and appearance. Primo Paving Inc. has our highest recommendation."

"I could not have been happier with Dan Connolly and Bellrock Construction. This guy is a real pro mason. He install two large granite steps that most hardscape contractors would not be able to work with and tied everything into the existing foundation and retaining walls perfectly. He went above and beyond fixing a couple of issues that were not visible until demolitions was done. And all at a reasonable price. <br /> Use Dan Connolly, you will not be disappointed. <br />"

"Everything went very well. Lou works with his son and wife, Lourdes, to plan and install the work. This was a tricky job because of the narrow space, which was bordered by a high stone wall on one side and the house on the other. The work was done thoroughly and quickly and is of high quality. The sidewalk includes a curved edge done with a mold created by Lourdes who has a background as a material engineer! By adding a step and redesigning the placement and slope of the walkway, it's now easier to access the front door and the walkway is less icy this winter. Lou and Andrew also installed a handrail, removed a large bush that was crowding the walkway, and found and repaired a rotting porch support. In addition to doing high quality, timely work, the Ranieri's are great people and a pleasure to work with."

"We had extensive work done by Marcello and his crews. They added a master bath, renovated a guest bath, added a back door and stairs, some new windows, opened up the kitchen and refinished the large basement. All the work was done within budget and of high quality. We highly recommend this company"

"I spent several months discussing our project with 7 different contractors before deciding that BestHands was the right company for the job. Emerson Martins is professional, honest, reliable, personable, patient, and thoughtful. He personally drove to the house a number of times to provide price quotes, discuss the project details and address all of our questions and concerns. Emerson is very knowledgeable and creative - he consistenly offered up multiple ways of attacking certain aspects of the project and thoroughly explained the pros and cons of each. His crew is incredibly dedicated and hard-working. Most days they were at the house from 9am to 7:30pm. Emerson delivered on all his promises and finished the job on time. I couldn't be happier with the work he and his crew did and months later still marvel at the transformation the outside of my house underwent. If I had to do it all over again I would hire BestHands in a heartbeat!"

"I am extremely pleased with the work that Kirby Masonry did. I had an old all brick stairway (8 feet wide, 7 stairs high) replaced with brick risers and pillars/sidewalls (as original) but with blue mist granite treads. I believe the brick color was Mohawk. I originally thought of using bluestone but Jason suggested blue mist granite. He and his stone supplier, Southridge Farm in Walpole, informed me that bluestone is not as durable, supply is dwindling and is more expensive than blue granite. It was a good alternative to the regular gray granite that is used and I like the look. The mortar in the original brick stairs was disintegrating due to the use of salt for snow/ice melting and I was committed to having a stair surface that would be less permeable to chemicals. Jason and his crew did outstanding work and the results are superb. The new stairs look fantastic and are much safer now that the old brick stairs have been replaced. The new stairs looked so good that I was inspired to have the stair landing leading to the sidewalk and the upper landing leading to the front door replaced as well. The original landings were stamped concrete and were OK but detracted from the look of the new stairs. I had Jason and his crew install both landings with Belgard rectangle pavers (London Cobble Danville Blend for the landings Charcoal for the borders). The finished job added a cleaner, elegant and updated look to the house. In addition to the front stair and landing replacement I had Jason and his crew point the stone foundation of the house. It had been pointed about 15 years ago but I felt it was time to get it done again. I like the work that Jason and the crew had done and was confident that they would do a thorough job with the pointing, too. Jason had time in his schedule to fit in the pointing job so I had it done right after the stairs were replaced. I talked to several masons last fall before selecting Kirby Masonry and was running up against the cold weather for getting the job done. Quotes ranged from $4,000 to $20,000 depending on how much work was involved. Jason's quote was most favorable and he offered different options since I wasn't sure if I was going to replace the pillars/sidewalls or if I needed to replace the landings. He was flexible and provided me with several locations where he was currently doing work or had completed work so I could see what his work was like. I liked that these jobs were local and that he was transparent about his work. He could have done the work last November but we decided to have it done this past spring. Jason offered the best price and could do the job sooner than the others. It took about a week to do all the jobs. After the jobs were done I noticed there was a small gap in the upper landing between the border and the wall where more mortar was needed. I contacted Jason and he took care of it. It was a very small fix and not critical so I was not surprised when it was not taken care of right away. I believe that if I was more concerned about getting this fixed sooner Jason would have done it. Overall, I highly recommend Kirby Masonry and will definitely hire them again for any masonry job I might have. Jason is very timely and communicates mostly by texting and responds quickly. He was there every day working with his crew. They did a great job cleaning up and even replaced the soil in the areas of the lawn next to the side pillars which had been displaced/moved. I have received many compliments on the new stairs and landing from my neighbors and people who parked on the street near the house. Unlike some masons he did not place a sign on the lawn with his company name. I suggested that he might want to but he was ok not doing so. I've had some requests for his contact information which I gladly provide. Since Jason is very busy and if you like his quote I recommend that you get on his schedule as soon as possible. Some tips: Use sand on brick stairs. Salt and chemicals wreck the mortar. Who knew especially when we were trying to keep up during the megastorms of 2014-2015? If you go to Southridge Farm you might want to bring your kids as they have farm animals (including a llama) on site. They have a huge selection of pavers and stones to view. Check their website for more info."

"Joe Falco was absolutely wonderful to work with. Joe came to our home and we explained what we needed done and Joe said he could remove the 3 large concrete slabs with no problem. The day Joe came to do the job, I could not believe how fast the job went. He arrived at 7:30 am and he was done at 8:05 am. Joe was a life saver because no one wanted to do the job of removing the concrete. I would give Joe Falco a 10++++++ for a job well done.If you need a mason or concrete removed, call Joe, you will not be disappointed with his work."

FAQs for concrete driveways & floors installation projects in Sharon, MA

Polished concrete floors offer many benefits with very few drawbacks. While issues like discoloration, stains, or imprints may occur during pouring, these are rare when working with a skilled flooring contractor. Once polished, concrete floors are easy to maintain, long-lasting, and eco-friendly. They also resist mold and moisture, making them ideal for allergy-prone households, and offer versatile design options for both indoor and outdoor use.

Polished concrete flooring is often more affordable than tile. It involves lower material costs and less labor-intensive installation. Tile installations require additional leveling and preparation, which increases labor costs. Opting for concrete flooring helps reduce upfront expenses and provides a durable, stylish finish that saves money over time with minimal maintenance.

While epoxy flooring offers enhanced durability and toughness compared to polished concrete, it comes with higher material and labor costs. If budget is a top priority, polished concrete floors provide a resilient and attractive finish without the premium price tag, making them an ideal choice for value and long-term performance.

Polished concrete floors last 20 years or more when installed by licensed professionals and maintained with proper care. Their enduring finish withstands heavy use and remains visually impressive for decades. Regular deep cleaning and maintenance help safeguard the floor’s integrity, providing homeowners with a long-lasting, cost‐effective solution that endures daily wear without compromising style.

Polished concrete floors increase home value by offering a modern, sleek appearance and exceptional durability. A professionally installed floor not only enhances visual appeal but also minimizes maintenance expenses, making the property more attractive to prospective buyers. This flooring upgrade delivers a refined look while boosting overall market competitiveness and long-term property value.
