"Mike and Andrew were awesome! Very professional and worked cleanly. They explained everything mapped out how the recessed lighting would work best. They only had to make a small hole in the ceiling to access the wire to run it to the switch box and taped up the piece of drywall that was removed. When we decide on either a ceiling fan or chandelier we’ll definitely be calling them to do the work."

"Fabulous! The two women arrived carrying all of their equipment. I left the house and they texted me in an hour or so to say they were finished. When I returned, my place was completely clean. Spotless! It looked and smelled wonderful and I didn't have to lift a finger. I would recommend Organic Home to anyone who needs house cleaning services."

"Barb, Ira, and the crew are the hardest working people I have ever had at my house! They are prompt and do an amazing job- installing new plants, removing old plants, and weeding. I feel very proud of my yard now . Barb and Ira are also very very knowledgeable about trees and plants. They gave me very good directions on what to keep and what I could afford to get rid of. Their prices are a little high, but , I think, fair for the quality of work they do. I have recommended them to friends. And I will continue to do so."

"I go to AC Moore for holiday supplies. It is a craft store that I use. As long as I buy their products, they will not charge to make it. The girls that do the flower arrangements are fantastic. I have bought stuff from somewhere else and have taken everything to them. As long as I bought stuff that she needed to make this, I did not have to pay for it to be made. They have coupons, and discounts. I am very satisfied. Best time to go is in the morning or later at night. They also do picture framing. "

"The company is very professional and responsive to requests. Sent me info on that they are insured and a pdf with the costs itemized clearly. Cost was inline for most contractors I contacted in the past. ($149 for two-story colonial.) Very upfront and you feel comfortable in hiring them. Notified when they would be out and they are were on time and did a fairly decent job. But I was disappointed they didn't use a blower to remove the debris and leaves but instead just hand cleaned the leaves out. I asked if they cleaned out the downspout and they said it didn't needed it and said they could tell by just looking down. Really? Other people I had out would use blower to make sure and and one even used a hose to flush out the spouts for about only $25 more. I could see from looking down on a lower gutter over the porch that there were still some leaves and debris but the bulk of the leaves were removed. I would have given an A and say I would hire again if they used a blower and also cleaned the spouts. (It's just my preference.) But overall, most people would probably be very satisfied with the overall service. So on that reason, I say I would recommend that people give them a try. I since was able to find a local roofer who said he would clean my gutters for $50 as he said it would only take less than 20 minutes. I would have switched to him but I made a verbal commitment to use Window Genie. He is insured and from my area and knows about the house I live in. So I will be using him for the next time."

"Dwight Francis is comfortable using email to schedule, which I prefer. A team came out to do the estimate. Then I was given a timeframe in which to accept the written estimate, and once that and a deposit was made, we scheduled the work. The team of electricians got here on time, worked steadily, and thoroughly cleaned the several work areas before departing. They were courteous, patient, and efficient."

"He drew it and took pics of himself doing it otherwise we wouldn't believe even drew it. It looks like a photograph. We've never seen anything like it. He's amazing. He has also hand drawn pictures of my wedding and of my grand father for his funeral service."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Sharon Hill, PA

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
