"James and his folks were great. I do however believe their quote / price was high when I hired them and later after another 2 quotes one via a phone call to a larger company. Both gave me quotes of $550.00 to $605.00 for same job. However, I had already committed to James. I still believe These Folks were a great fit and the Metal roof repair was done very well and I would Hire them again. However, I will get more quotes both from CJ's and others before committing / hiring next time. "We bought an older house in the Five Points area in Huntsville and had the roof evaluated by Arkbow Roofing team. While they encouraged us to get the whole roof replaced, they strongly suggested to at least address the soft spots on our roof - meaning we had water getting in and rotting the wood. We had other quotes from “local” companies and Arkbow was not only transparent about pricing of materials but also the most reasonable price when it came to labor. Working with the owner of Arkbow Roofing – Steven Jacks – we had the team replace the entire roof. Arkbow team got the roof down to the boards, removed and fixed rotten boards, reinstalled vents properly, cut a ridge openings and installed a ridge vents, and installed ice & water shield along all the valleys too. The installation exceeded our expectations as it was done in almost a day and the neighbors are already very complimentary our roof update!"

"North Alabama Roofing & Restoration repaired two sections of my roof. One was near a dormer and the other around a chimney. The dormer area repair went well although there was a small amount of siding damage that was eventually fixed. The repair around the chimney included siding, replacing the chimney cap, replacing flashing, and roof repair. This portion of the job did not go well. There were multiple defects, some aesthetic, some functional. I had to have the company come back out 6 times before they finally repaired the area to my satisfaction. Some of the defects included: Exposed nail heads on the ridge cap (no sealant), using architectural shingles on the ridge cap instead of the proper ridge cap shingle material, incorrectly sizing the edging on the siding resulting in exposed bare wood (that was then covered in some silicone goop), incorrect lapping of siding that channeled water behind the siding, exposed nails in the siding, and broken new siding that would allow water to get in. Overall, communication with the company was spotty. My initial sales rep (Jenard) did not return calls after the paperwork was signed. I eventually resorted to calling the home office on a regular basis to resolve the problems above (did I mention it took 6 additional trips to get it right?). To their credit, everyone that I spoke with at NAR&R was very polite and they did not balk at sending the crew back out multiple times. I believe the root cause of the problem was the roofer not having all the proper materials to do the job correctly and the roofer not knowing how to do siding work. Eventually, NAR&R called out a siding company to do that portion of the job correctly. Pictures attached highlight some of the problems that were present after the repair. Incorrect cap material, exposed wood, and incorrect lapping of siding materials. All were eventually corrected to my satisfaction although I believe that none of them should have existed in the first place."
