"I can’t recommend Liberty Forged Ironworks highly enough—this is craftsmanship and service at its absolute best! I needed some delicate instruments adapted to accommodate my physical disability, and Michael exceeded every expectation. From the very start, he truly listened to my needs, ensuring he fully understood the modifications I required. He even went the extra mile to research the instruments on his own, learning about their purpose and function to deliver the perfect solution. The turnaround time was nothing short of amazing—just two days from order to pick-up! When I saw the finished product, I was absolutely blown away. Not only did they fit my hand perfectly, but they also far surpassed my vision. The quality and attention to detail are outstanding, and they are both beautiful and incredibly well-made. Michael’s dedication, skill, and thoughtfulness have made such a positive impact on my daily life. If you’re looking for precision, creativity, and exceptional service, Liberty Forged Ironworks is the place to go. Thank you for such an incredible experience!"

"Bob came out to give us an estimate. He said he could begin work the next day and arrived as promised. The materials used and the workmanship are excellent. All debris was removed and the work site completely cleaned up. The project was completed in 3 days. They were prompt and professional. We would gladly hire Cavalier again for any fence construction or repair. They are genuine craftsmen and we recommend them highly."

"Brandon seems like a very nice guy but the professionalism needs improvement. The quote we were given was significantly less than the final bill. We were quoted $600 and we knew the add on of mulch and frame would increase the final bill to roughly $1200 but then the final bill came in at $1600. The logic was not there to understand the difference. And most importantly, if I'm paying premium pricing, I would prefer premium service. The number of times that he mentioned pieces were missing but I am showing him "nope, the piece is right here" was silly. He should have been better organized. He explained he needed to screw in four posts because they fabricated the holes incorrectly... he put them in upside down! But I'm being charged for the screws. Again, I think he was a nice guy, but I also think he was green and did a poor job giving a quote and staying organized. When I'm paying for the mistakes, it's disturbing."

"We have maintained an ongoing professional and satisfying relationship with Aurora Gates for the past 16 years The original gate installation was performed on time and on budget as promised......no surprises or hidden extra costs.  Amber helped us with our custom design.  She educated us regarding different options of gates and operating systems so we were able to select the best system for our needs. We continue to get compliments on our attractive gate design.  <br /> When it was time to upgrade our gate operating system, 16 years later in January 2013, Amber gave us the most efficient, highest quality, best priced operating system available....once again.    <br /> Brad Isham  is a master electrician who ensures that every electrical aspect of your gate system is installed properly. He is an excellent problem solver and trouble shooter,  so when we have had maintenance issues, some not even  related to the gates, but with the phone lines attached to the operating systems for example, he was able to figure out what the problem was so we knew who should be contacted. When I have any questions or concerns, Brad is always available to answer promptly and thoroughly. <br /> Over the years we have had some emergencies, for example we had a lightening strike to our gate operating system and Brad came out immediately to fix the system so we were not without gates. Aurora always make ever possible effort to be there for your needs. <br /> They continue to handle our maintenance.  They are always timely and professional and continue to be competitively priced.  Quite frankly...they are the best in every way. <br /> It's so nice to have a long term relationship with a family run business with integrity, and competence.  Not only does  Aurora Services install your system well......they are also around for the long haul to maintain them.  Aurora Services  is the only gate company I would ever use.  A solid, satisfying relationship of 16 years speaks volumes. <br /> <br />"

"It could not have gone better.  I phoned to ask for prices and a representative came out the next day.   She measured the area which I wanted mulched and gave me a price.    I then checked that price with others, determined it was fair and told her to please schedule the work.  There was a lot of weeds, small trees, etc. in the area which had to be removed prior to mulching.   I told her to do it (since I couldn't) and that was an additional $150.    Then I decided to go with the river rocks along the edge to help keep the mulch where it belongs and that cost $220. <br /> They came within a day or two, the mulch was almost all spread when I arrived home and I couldn't believe what a difference it made.   It looked so good that neighbors driving by stopped to look at it and asked questions about their services.   They came the next day (today) to arrange the rocks around the border of the mulch and now it looks even better - more like a completed project. <br /> I have no complaints about anything - the workmen were very polite, worked hard and fast and left no mess behind.  I count this as one of the best decisions I've ever made regarding my house and yard. <br />"

"While Dave is one of the hardest workers I have encountered I was unprepared for the costs of the above projects.  We had some serious mis-communication in between the estimate (one day -8 hrs- @ $60 an hour = $480 to do all the above work).  This amount was quoted for TWO people and Dave said "we work really fast and can do this in one day).  I was thrilled.  I thought with materials I would be well under $1000 which is the amount I was willing to spend on these projects. <br> <br>Dave's helper did not show up and he worked alone and did not get all of the projects done in one day as planned.  I did not think this was a problem because I would expect it to take one person two days.  I did mention this to him the second day and he said he only paid his helper $8/hr so he would still charge me $52.00 an hour.  I thought this very unfair but I liked Dave and his work so I did not say anything more.  When he had to return a third day I assumed I was at least getting charged for "short days" but that was not the case.  My total bill was over $2100 (including $700+ for materials).  I was dumbfounded but paid my bill. <br> <br>As for the work itself, all was done well with the exception of the screen door.  Dave originally said that he would get a price on a new door and then see if it was cheaper to replace or repair the door I had.  The door I had was simply out of square but was otherwise in good condition and had a grill on the bottom half that I really liked.  It looked like a quality door.  Dave forgot to discuss a new door with me so I did not know the cost or anything.  He simply brought it an installed.  The door looks very cheap (but was not); did not have a grill; did not fit and he had to cut it down.  When I was very, very dissatisfied with this door that STILL showed gaps where insects could get in, Dave quickly offered to take it down and "eat" the cost.  To his credit, he was adamant that I be satisfied.  My desire to not be wasteful, made me say "no" to this and I said I would live with it.  He made a couple of suggestions of things I could do to improve it and offered to do them himself but I was afraid of the costs at that point and said no.  <br> <br>A few days later, I called Dave back and ask he he would consider coming back and fixing that door at no charge.  He said yes and we scheduled a day.  He did everything he could to make it right (even added the grill I wanted from the old door).  However, it is still out of square.  Dave said before he left if the door warped or was not right to let him know and he would return it to the store implying that the problem may be the door itself.  I have considered this but likely will not take him up on it because I do not want to pay him any more for this job and I do not think he should do this for free. <br> <br>Dave and I parted on good terms and he agreed that he needs to be more specific on charges when they go way beyond original quotes.  He does quality work and has good ideas on how to make things right. I expect to use him again but will be more vigilant of keeping the work within the estimate. I hope this is helpful to Dave and his future customers. <br>"

"I originally hired Kevin Williams in June 2011 to remove an old shed and and all of the building materials and debris my husband left behind when he moved out. Not only were his rates reasonable but he worked so fast and did a great job that I hired him to do all of the things I wanted done to transform my house into my home. He painted a couple of rooms, put up porch rails, a privacy fence, crown molding, replaced locks, replaced the front door and screen, put up porch light and flood light, replaced light fixtures, moved thermostat, replaced my hot water heater, cleaned gutters, dug up my broken cement walkway, landscaping, and on and on. Next he will be laying tiles on my kitchen floor and putting up a french door to my living room. Kevin took ownership of the project and with his creative input and excellent workmanship, my house is now my home. I consider Kevin to be Central Virginia's undiscovered gem."
