When he didn't respond I had way too many conversations with the business owner trying to get him to complete the work. Eventually, I just gave up and wrote off the loss."

"I am having a truly unpleasant experience with 7th State Builders. I paid 14,450.00$ deposit in good faith. They were contracted to rebuild my deck, place a roof structure and screen on the deck. I trusted that they would complete the work. Instead, they took my money and one year later had not even started on the project. Not only did they fail to perform the agreed-upon services for the deck, but I was forced to hire an attorney to try and recover my deposit. Which I haven?t yet (over one year). Thus, creating unnecessary expenses to an already frustrating situation. I would strongly advise against using this company. "Juan and his team did a phenomenal job on fixing our concrete landing going to the front door. It had pulled away from the house and was sloped very steep without any steps on it. Juan knew what needed to be done immediately and was able to get me a quote the same day! He knew all about the codes and that area and what we could and couldn’t do for this project. He was communicative and efficient and always on time. Something else I really appreciate is they didn’t leave trash behind. That might sound like something silly, but after doing enough construction projects and seeing the differences of how people work-this part matters too. I don’t want a whole nother job of having to clean up after people when it’s done. This team did that without me even asking. Please choose this company as I have time and time again."
