Customers say: Super punctual

"We couldn't be happier with Tom Dugan and his crew. All of the above-mentioned work is gorgeous...our neighbors have been continually stopping us to compliment it and get Tom's contact info. All of his workers were meticulous in detail, and very clean. He even returned to patch up minor and structurally insignificant cracks in our foundation that were there long before he began work, were of absolutely no fault of his, and had nothing to do with the jobs we hired him for. It should be mentioned that the work on our porch was a very difficult job, which Tom handled fantastically. The foundation of our house in the corner under the porch had failed, and two years ago, we had that fixed, but the porch was left barely functional. To make matters more complex, under the porch is a storage room. So not only was the foundation a problem, work had to be done for a porch that doubled as a ceiling. One person we got an estimate from flat-out stated this was too complex a job for them. Tom assessed the situation immediately, and the plan he returned in the estimate worked perfectly."

"Our home is not the easiest to work on, because it is old and uneven. Kevin gave us a fair price and worked until the job was done (it was a hard job and took about 10 hours!). The work was excellent. The door was installed so much better than the other doors in our home and looks great! Thanks, Kevin!"

"The contractor arrived on time when he said he would arrive and had the work done in a day as previously stated. I will have them back next year to add another drive next to the on they installed to make my driveway twice as wide. They were very professional and very cost efficient. I will be recommending them to all my friends and anyone I know that wants concrete work done."

"My wife and I first approached Werbrich's Landscaping in September 2019 to talk about a patio project that we wanted to do during the spring of 2020. With an original and small concrete patio slab from 1957 off the back of our house, we wanted something new and different for our older kids (and their friends) to enjoy before they left for college. We had actually approached two other firms at the same time looking for design elements from all three, but after all designs and companies and people were evaluated, Werbrich's stood out as the favorite. We knew that what we were seeking to do with our project wasn't the biggest one that they were even working on at the time, but it was the biggest investment we had ever made on our landscape.  Given that, we wanted to feel like our needs and wants were listened to and attended to just like those spending 6-figures on a project.  We were definitely impressed. Dan Lynch was our landscape designer, and Dan listened incredibly well. He heard everything that we wanted, helped lead conversation on the things that we didn't necessarily know we wanted, and worked through multiple revisions to get the design to a place that we were very happy with.  He was there throughout the project as well if we had questions.  Eric Powers was our foreman for the job, making sure that everything on a daily basis went as it was supposed to. He was very communicative, and it was very easy to talk back and forth with him and the crew members about what was happening, why it was happening, and what the next steps should and would be. They were also very flexible with any changes that needed to be made along the way.  Even since the project has been completed, if there's anything that we need, they pick up the phone just as quickly as if we were new clients. The finished product looks amazing, and we are extremely happy with it. If we do any projects in the future, there's going to be no hesitation in calling Werbrich's again.  I would strongly encourage anyone looking at a landscaping work around your home to talk to them first about it."

FAQs for concrete foundation installation projects in Silver Grove, KY

A concrete footer is a relatively shallow column of concrete that sits below your foundation walls. Footers spread wider than the foundation, so they can support a higher amount of weight in critical spots, such as below walls. The exact dimensions of footers depend on the home, so larger structures need a larger footing.

To calculate footing size, you need to know the minimum width and depth for houses in your region. Multiplying the width by the linear footprint of the structure will give you the size in linear feet.

To convert linear feet into square feet, you can divide the width by 12. For example, an 18-inch footer is 1.5 square feet per linear foot. Multiply this number by the total in linear feet to get the answer in square feet.

Installing a pier and beam foundation costs $5 per square foot, or $8,000 to $15,000. This style is standard in homes built before the 1960s or those in flood-prone areas.

Concrete weight support ranges from 1,500 to 6,500 pounds per square inch, and footings need at least 3,500 to 4,500 pounds per square inch. Remember that your soil type, climate, and materials used will significantly affect how much weight your footings can hold, especially in certain areas.

It costs between $1,600 and $3,200 to pour a 20-by-20-foot concrete slab. These estimates are based on an average cost to pour a concrete slab of $4 to $8 per square foot. Be sure to discuss the specifics with a pro—they’ll give you an estimate of how much you can expect.

The cost to raise a house is between $3,200 and $10,000. This range refers to a form of repair that involves lifting the entire house to potentially remove the old foundation and build a new one or add to an existing one.
