"Came out to check for hollow spots under basement floor, after sewer rooter guy said to do so. Pleasant knowledgeable and honest. He said we didn't need the work due to what was happening to our floor was not serious.He also looked at our steps but they are too damaged to mudjack and he just said they needed eventual replacement."

"We are very happy with the results of the exterior waterproofing Drew and his crew performed. Drew was the only contractor willing to try to accomplish the waterproofing task by preventing the water intrusion rather than dealing with the water once it was inside the foundation. They removed a 12" by 20 ft section of concrete driveway along the house, excavated a trench to the front yard and installed a "french" style drain along with rock and plastic lining. They also regraded along the front of the house using the same method and connected to the drain line. The entire thing terminates in a rock filled underground pit. It has been eight months since the work was completed and there has been no water intrusion from the fall through the spring. The entire crew was very professional. They took care to not cause any more lawn damage than absolutely necessary and cleaned the driveway almost completely. We were realistic knowing not every spec of dirt would come off without some rain, but they left almost nothing when they left. We will be calling Drew for at least one more project that we are confident will be performed with absolute perfection."

Kelly was much more competitive in terms of pricing than the others we had out for a quote. Unlike his competitors who install a 4" pour, Kelly's standard process is a 6" pour. He gave his opinion on what would look best, but didn't push any additional services beyond what we were looking for. We were so impressed that we decided to add a front patio to the project. Kelly goes above and beyond in his work. He removed and hauled away rocks along both sides of the driveway and widened the driveway. He also removed and hauled away a basketball hoop at no extra cost. He added dirt and grass seed on both sides of the driveway. "We purchased an older home, built in 1921, in the Summit Hill neighborhood of Saint Paul. It was in terrible condition -- a "fixer upper." It was the ugly duckling on the block. It was in bad need of new siding and windows throughout. We knew about Hoffman Weber (HW) and Jason Iwig from previous dealings at our old house in Bloomington. Those dealings resulted in a separate five-star review on Angie's List. So, when HW's estimate for windows and siding came back in the same ballpark as a couple of other very reputable companies, we immediately retained HW as our contractor. Jason met with us immediately after we committed to the project. He's extremely knowledgeable when it comes not only to the various siding products available but especially with respect to customizing design and aesthetic, with great attention to details like jut-outs, standard siding for lower and shake siding for upper, and decorative corbels etc. He was also able to provide several financing options from cash to a ten-year loan with relatively good rates. He was able to approve us on the spot. Jason then handed the project management over to Tim, who served as the foreman of the project by making regular visits and ensuring the crew had more than enough material on site to get the job done. Like Jason, Tim is extremely knowledgeable, thoughtful, and professional. He was always available to answer questions or address concerns, and always in a satisfactory (reasonable) manner. I'm sure all HW installers are great, but we feel we got particularly lucky with our installer crew, led by Boris. He was meticulous with his attention to detail, right down to the replacement of cable tv cords along the house. Everything had to be perfect with this guy. Yes, this meant a somewhat slower completion time, but I'll take slightly slow and meticulous over fast and sloppy any day. HW is the party that ultimately pays for this process, but it doesn't seem to bother them because our satisfaction always seemed of primary concern for them. Our 1921 house at 1116 Saint Clair Ave was an outlier in the neighborhood when we moved in, for all the wrong reasons. Now it's an outlier for all the right reasons. With Jason's help and artistic flair, we decided to use Hardie siding in the color Countrylane Red, with Arctic White trim. But we chose Birch Bark for the shake siding up on top, with a jut-out supported by corbels. We're happy. Our new neighbors are ecstatic. And passersby on Saint Clair stop to tell us how impressed they are. We really couldn't be happier with the job Hoffman Weber did for us, and we very sincerely hope those who read this review consider them for their project. Thanks."

"The company came in and took out the old patio in one day, then replaced with a new concrete patio about a week later. They did a wonderful job on the new steps and the foundation for the patio. They were very careful and respectful to my house and yard. They had to break open sections of my old fence to create break lines in the patio, but put the fence back together after they were finished. Everything was cleaned up extremely well after they were done. They answered any questions I had to educate me on the concrete and treatment. They also had to make another trip out to fill in some open holes from the steps to the house. There is also a guarantee on the patio for 10 years which was the biggest seller to me. The prices were in the middle in comparison, but they had the best sell for the quality of the concrete and the warranty of 10 years. Every other company either didn't have any warranty or it was at most a year after installation. I would highly recommend."
