"It was amazing. Not only did Kevin reface our cabinets, put on new doors, he also built an extension to the original cabinets that gave us much more space. He added hand made crown molding above the cabinets that mirrored the molding on our fireplace. He was amazing. Very dependable and extremely neat and clean while working. Never left a mess. We would highly recommend Kevin. A plus rating!!"

"It was a pleasure to work with Mark to figure out how to upgrade the wood in our kitchen.  During the planning stage, he presented a good number of possibilities without rolling out every conceivable option (which other providers tended to do and which overwhelmed rather than informed me).  He knew what might work best, and we quickly came up with an option that fit with the open-style look in my kitchen.  The cabinets look great, and I'm glad we went the refacing route rather than replacing the cabinets.  During the actual project, we enjoyed having Mark and his assistant in our home.  They are upbeat, responsive, kind, professional, and do great work!  "

"The quality of work is incredible.  They were reasonably priced when compared to similar quality.  All of their staff was pleasant to work with.  Their attention to detail is fantastic.  I highly recommend them.  We are very pleased.  This is a company you can trust. <br /> All of the cabinets are custom built to your specifications to fit your house.  <br /> You will pay them nothing until the cabinets are installed.  This is a big deal to me.  You don't have to worry about paying a contractor and having them not show. <br /> I am confident anyone who hires Colorado Creative Cabinetry will be happy with the decision. <br /> They also gave an excellent referrals for granite, plumbing, etc.  These companies also did great work."

"Cabinet, sink and countertop installation went fine. The problem is the lack of attention to details and the fact I had to insist to get them taken care of. For example moving the dishwasher left a hole in the hardwood floor (missing plank) and they were going to leave it as-is. They ripped an entire length of baseboard to put the fridge in, but weren't going to put it back in, and even when they did, they nailed it in without caulking or finishing it. They charged me for am extra bracket to mount the dishwasher, which I would have expected them to realize wa needed before they tried to put it in, but the bracket flexes when you open the dishwasher drawer, causing it to lean out of its space under the countertop. Cabinet quality is so-so. After 2 years several of the drawers are catching and won't "soft close" easily. But mostly i am unhappy about the lack of attention to "whole job" details. I paid a premium compared to Home Depot but got no better service. <br />"

"Great work. The cabinets were good quality and delivered when promised. When there were a couple of missing pieces and we then chose to add some additions they were responsive, timely and responsible for anything needed. Beth is a great kitchen designer...has a good eye for flow of a room, design elements and construction protocols. She was able to direct our General Contractor on changes, additions and plumbing solutions. They don't take credit cards so if you want to purchase through that method it's not accepted."

FAQs for cabinets reface projects in Silver-plume, CO

Absolutely. Refacing returns 65% to 80% of your investment at resale, and you get an updated kitchen right now. Because you’re not paying for new boxes or demo work, the price lands well below complete replacement but still delivers a fresh, custom look that buyers—and you—notice every time you walk in.

To trim costs, start by pricing a high-quality paint or gel stain instead of full refacing—stain alone can be one-third the price of full refacing. Keep existing hinges and pulls if they’re in good shape, and shop sales for sandpaper, primer, and sealer. The sweat equity is real, but so are the savings, and a careful DIY job can still leave your cabinets looking sharp for years to come.

A professional crew needs only three to five days to reface a standard kitchen, although a larger layout or intricate door style may add one to two days. Compare that with the several weeks a full cabinet swap can drag on. In other words, you get your space back fast, often before the paint on the new doors is even fully cured.

Yes, you can replace just the cabinet doors and drawer fronts without covering the cabinet boxes. Cabinet refacing involves installing new doors and drawer fronts while applying veneers to existing cabinet boxes. If you’re satisfied with the condition of your cabinets, swapping doors and drawer fronts reduces labor and materials, saving you time and cost. Always consult a professional to confirm compatibility and ensure a seamless, high-quality finish.

Most cabinet refacing projects do not require removing countertops because professionals can access doors and drawers around existing surfaces. However, if your countertop overhang prevents full access to the cabinet boxes, contractors may need to lift the countertop to install veneers properly temporarily. Discuss this with your refacing specialist during the on-site estimate so you know exactly what the project entails.
