"When you move onto the "Christmas Block" of your neighborhood you better be ready! We contacted Denver Illuminations and shared our vision. They did exactly as we asked and even set-up a light up snowman to the delight of our daughter. The lights were set on a timer so we didn't have to worry about wasting electricity during daylight hours too. It all worked beautifully and our house fit right in with the rest of our festive street!"

"<p>We initially met with Joanie McGrath in May of 2016 at our house. My father had passed away and we planned to move into his house after doing a complete redecorating.  Joanie is a very easy to work with type of person, great personality with high energy. We spent time talking about what we liked in a house and answering many questions she had.  Immediately the ideas from her started flowing as to what we could do.  She had a complete list of recommended contractors to work with on every phase of the project. She went with us to the flooring and window treatment contractor to view samples and then to a local design center to consider tile, paint color palate, countertop (granite and quartz) and how it would all work together and flow throughout the house.  We replaced the old carpet and flooring with hardwood flooring throughout the house. She saved us from having to replace the oak kitchen cabinets and bathroom cabinets by picking a darker hardwood flooring that contrasted nicely with them. The all white walls were painted in a palate of shades of grays and blue green (master bedroom) that significantly improved the overall appeal of our house. Joanie was very hands on in directing our contractors in their work and if something wasn't done quite right, she got them to correct it right now! The actual work started the first of July and ran through November.   Along the way we replaced light fixtures and cabinet and door hardware to update and get rid of the old the brass fixtures, replacing with brushed nickel, etc. We had closet systems put in all the closets that came out fantastic. She helped us with a local appliance store to replace all the kitchen appliances with fabulous new brushed steel appliances that looked great with the new quartz countertops and existing cabinets. One of our bathrooms was just a smaller powder room which she helped us pick out just the right copper sink to set off the room. Last phase was picking out new furniture and again her suggestions were right on the mark for our dining room, family room and master bedroom. Along the way in this project, Joanie was always asking our opinion and helped us take advantage of discounts on items and materials and making sure contractor pricing was fair and work done properly.</p> <p>My wife and I are thrilled with the outcome of this whole project and there was no way she and I could have done it nearly as well without Joanie.  The overall project was expensive but well worth the investment in our home.  My wife and I highly recommend Joanie's interior design services for projects such as ours.</p>"

"After the very first clean it was obvious to me that the standards of cleanliness were what I expected and more. Do I need to add I am a perfectionist? I was gone most of the summer traveling abroad and I was really nervous not being there but Cinda became my kind of property manager. One day my A/C broke and I was in France and I had people in the house. Cinda came and took care of everything, greeting the repairman, making sure the work was done, even paying for the services for which I naturally reimbursed her for, all the while cleaning for the next guest. She saved me, she saved my business and because of her I was able to do a lot of damage control. She went above and beyond what a cleaning company does. I trust Cinda more than I'd trust a family member. This is why I am hiring her again this summer. Did I also mention she is very strict when it comes to cleanliness? My apartment is always pristine after a clean. I cannot say enough about Cinda and her crew. I wish all businesses were ran as smoothly, as creatively as hers. She knows what customer service is and I'm grateful for it. Other cleaning companies should emulate Ready four Company."

FAQs for holiday lighting add or remove projects in Silver-plume, CO

If climbing ladders or handling wiring isn’t in your comfort zone, hire a pro. Look for installers who post clear per-foot or hourly rates, carry insurance, and have solid reviews. Comparing at least three quotes helps you spot fair pricing without sacrificing safety. Skipping credentials to save a few dollars can cost you far more in repairs, so pick a qualified team and enjoy a safe, eye-catching display.

Yes, booking between February and September often scores lower rates because demand is light and pros have open calendars. You might even negotiate a discount package that includes removal or storage. If the budget is tight, ask whether a handyperson or an off-season permanent-light install makes sense for your home and timeline.

Determining the number of holiday lights for your house depends on your home’s size and specific decorative vision. Your project requires 10 to 20 light strands for a basic exterior display, with 100 lights allocated for eaves and an additional 10 to 20 bulbs for each awning.

For trees and substantial shrubs, allocate five to 10 strands per unit to achieve complete and balanced illumination across your property.

Tipping isn’t mandatory, but it’s a nice way to thank your installer for a job well done. Most homeowners offer 10% to 20% of the total bill or round up to an even figure if the crew exceeds expectations. A small extra goes a long way toward showing appreciation—and may help you snag priority booking next season.

Yes, you can install holiday lights yourself if your property layout is straightforward and your electrical system is secure. Homeowners who are confident in their ability to safely handle wiring and use proper equipment can save money with a DIY approach.

However, it is crucial to test all outlets thoroughly and secure the proper ladders and safety gear before starting. Careful planning and adherence to safety guidelines are essential to protect yourself and your home while achieving an attractive display.

Start by clearing the area of loose debris, damaged shingles, and anything that could trip you up. Test outdoor outlets and, if you’re unsure, bring in an electrician. Use a sturdy extension ladder (or scaffolding for very high spots) and never work alone—having a helper steady the ladder is non-negotiable. Taking these simple steps keeps you, your roof, and your new lights safe.
