"In August 2025 we hired Anthony Pruchniak to pour a concrete pad for a workshop and to refinish the front porch. The workshop was months away due to the permitting process, but he wanted to go ahead and do the porch refinishing since he was available that week. Then it was delayed until the weekend. And here's where the saga begins. He showed up with his 3 young daughters in tow. Then it started raining before he could finish resurfacing the porch. He showed up after noon the next day and finished while we were away and sent pictures. I questioned the texture and he assured me that it was because of the picture was zoomed in. FAQs for concrete delivery projects in Silver Springs, FL

The amount of concrete you need varies by project. One 80lb bag covers an area of about 2 square feet, for a slab 4 inches thick. Two 60lb bags of concrete cover an area of about 2 square feet for a slab that is 6 inches thick.

A truckload of concrete can usually hold a maximum of 10 cubic yards.

The cost of concrete per cubic yard depends on which brand you purchase, but usually costs about $110 for bags.

It takes about 41 bags of concrete to fill a cubic yard. Always plan to buy a few bags more than the exact required amount in case of mistakes.

To calculate the amount of concrete you need for a slab, you should find the cubic yardage of the area you will be filling. Just follow these steps:

  1. Measure the area in feet.

  2. Multiply length by width, and then by thickness.

  3. Divide the resulting number by 27 to find cubic yards.
