"Based on the many 5 star reviews on Google and Yelp, I hired Kitsap Roof Pros to fix an active roof leak. After the initial $1500 of work, the roof still leaked. I contacted them and they came back multiple times, never resolving the leak. On the fourth visit they proposed additional work for $500, to fix the leak. I agreed only under clear written conditions, net 60 terms or the leak must be resolved before payment. I didn't want to have another situation where I paid for the work immediately only to have the leak continue... again. Unfortunately, after that work was completed, the roof still leaked. At that point it was Christmas Eve and I had to explore other options to get the leak fixed immediately. I couldn't continue to wait for Kitsap Roof Pros to come back and tell me I needed yet another $500 repair. I've lived in the area my whole life and Kitsap Roof Pros is certainly not the worst contractor I've had to deal with. What really pushed this into 1-star territory was the of"

"Our five-year-old roof developed a major leak (gallons of water pouring into the garage), so we contacted Ibex. At the initial inspection, Kettner gave us a reasonable quote, which included installing new flashing and metal vents. Kettner completed the repairs, and the following day December's usual rain and east wind returned in force -- but no leak! We highly recommend Ibex Roofing. They answered all our questions, worked with our schedule, and followed up both during the process and after repairs were finished, to be sure that the job was completed to our satisfaction."

"AMPRO Builders LLC. has a total disregard for the customer and very shoddy work. I had hired them initially for roofing and it took the owner a full year to address and fix the fact that his employees put my skylights on backwards when they reroofed my home. I had to write a POOR review for the owner Robert Chatham to even pay attention to my calls to his rep. which went unanswered for the entire time . I had the siding of the home also replaced during this period by the same AmPro and they job was performed while I was at work (They put hardy plank on without it even being sealed). I came home and found that when the siding was replaced, it was replaced so that there is a gap that needs to be fixed as this will allow the elements and mold to start on the inside of the siding. When They skylights were fixed I was told that AmPro would take care of the siding replacement failure . The failure was found by the painter when he saw the large gap at the bottom of wall where it should snug up to the cedar lap, but the builder put the siding on top of the first plank leaving a large gap opening on lower side at front end of my home. Robert Chatham showed up at my home and actually saw the shoddy work on the south side and front corner of my home and said he was the boss and would have it fixed. Then I heard nothing. I called Robert Chatham (Owner) and asked when the siding would be corrected as the winter (last year) was coming and he said he would do it when the weather was better and dry. This was last year (2023) the roof was put on a year before that and when they finally fixed the botched skylights and put them in correctly they had to scrape them as they had moss growing on them. WELL It's been DRY for a long time this summer and The Guy has answered one call and sent me to Voice mail after that without a return call or time frame to fix AmPro's botched siding repair. I will also send this to the BBB as I am done waiting. I do not recommend this Guy or his company ! AMPRO BUILDERS LLC.- Robert Chatham GM"

FAQs for metal roofing repair projects in Silverdale, WA

Maintaining your soffit is essential. You must inspect it twice yearly to catch any clear signs of deterioration. Look for cracks, mold, rotted wood, sagging sections, chipped paint, or missing boards. If these issues are detected, contact a professional immediately to repair or replace the damaged soffit and protect your home’s structural integrity.

To maintain your fascia boards and soffits, inspect them regularly to protect your roof and home's structure. Clean your gutters to remove debris and prevent moisture buildup. Repaint any damaged sections to keep moisture at bay. Upgrading drip edges and vents improves airflow and dispels moisture efficiently, helping you avoid severe damage and costly repairs.

While installing a new soffit over an existing soffit isn't common, it may be necessary in some older homes. If removing the original soffit could damage delicate structures, a professional might recommend installing the new soffit without complete removal. Always consult a qualified professional to assess the condition and ensure this method is safe and effective.

When hiring someone for soffit and fascia repair, choose a specialist with proven roofing and gutter systems expertise. A knowledgeable contractor will thoroughly inspect your home and provide a straightforward repair or replacement plan. Check online reviews and ask for references to ensure you receive high-quality service that delivers lasting results and strong protection for your home.
