"The work went well and was speedy.  The owner used about a five to seven man crew.  He used a lift crane to cut branches down and lowered them with ropes to his team.  His team used used a powerful wood chipper to handle the branches and saws to cut limbs into manageable sizes.  They also hauled away the trunk of the tree on a flatbed truck.  
Clean Up: They laid plywood under their equipment that was on our grass to keep the grass from being damaged.  They also swept up the street and grabbed lose debris that was in our yard from the tree. 
Sidenote: The tree was about three feet from our home so I was especially concerned about roof damage but the crew took great care not to damage our house.

Team Green stepped in and solved my problems. The project went very smoothly once underway. The lead time was about 7-8 weeks, which was the only downside. The install crew worked very hard clearing large tree roots and rocks to install the drain.
