"I think we've all had bad experiences with contractors: not being prepared, not being on time, not communicating effectively, etc. Smart Electric is none of this, they are fully professional and deliver even more of what they promise. This is my second project with them, and will continue going back with all of my home electrical needs!"

"The guys from In-House Electric were able to fix the shoddy work I had received from another company years ago. I finally have outside sockets that should work for years to come under Notthwest weather conditions."

"Joseph Schlegel was very knowledgeable about our electrical system, since he had previously consulted and performed work for a neighbor in our Condo. He consulted with us by phone and convinced us that we did not need to install GFCI's in our upstairs bathrooms. Moreover, he showed us a way to correct a switching problem without installing more outlets or changing our system, saving us $$. Highly recommended and knowledgeable electrician."

"The first visit took around 20 minutes. They identified the problem but did not have the replacement part with them. This visit charge was $164. I had to schedule another visit to replace the fan. They were schedule to be at my home between 8-9 AM. When I called at 9:20 AM they said that their scheduling system was not working correctly, so they came at noon. They replaced the Can. It took 20minutes. The charge was $241. In summary to fix a small problem I had to pay $ 404. Since the part cost less than $ 30 I believe I overpaid for this job."

"I needed electrical charger installed in my home and I inquired on Angie's list. Superior Electric was the first one to respond and came out first thing next morning. John, Sam and Angelo were great guys to work with. Being a nonprofit, we always look for people who can work with our limited budget. They were professional and courteous. They did work as they said promptly and efficiently explaining everything along the way. I would recommend these guys anytime to the people who needs their electrical work done."

"Alex and his brother Nick completely rewired our entire house remodel and put in a new breaker box. They listened to what we wanted and made great suggestions. They were professional and efficient and very reasonably priced. I will never go anywhere else if I have any electrical needs in the future! They even helped my mom out and she was thrilled with how nice they were and the ideas they had for her condo. Top Notch!!"

"Seatown Electric did a great job and I will call them again when I have electrical repair or installation needs. They were very responsive - even on the weekend. They returned messages and calls promptly. They provided status updates of where my technician was by text message regularly. My technician, Taylor, was prompt, professional and helpful. Everyone that I spoke with at Seatown was equally professional and helpful."

FAQs for electrical for home addition or remodel installation projects in Snohomish, WA

There are several telltale signs that your home is due for an electrical upgrade. You may need to rewire your house if your lights are constantly flickering or your circuit breaker keeps tripping. If you feel mild electric shocks when you touch light switches, hear buzzing sounds, or notice burning smells, you may need to rewire your house, too. Discolored or burnt-looking switches and faceplates are another crucial warning sign.

Properly installed copper wiring in a residential property can last as long as 50 to 100 years in some cases, but many homes over 30 years old are due for an upgrade. That’s the timeline that many experts recommend, even if it is only a partial update to accommodate technological advancements, increased power demands, and changing safety requirements.

At $3 to $5 per square foot, the cost to wire a 2,000-square-foot house ranges from $6,000 to $10,000, on average. This can depend on many factors, like the age and complexity of the house and how easy it is for contractors to access the areas they need to get the job done. Opening and repairing walls can further add to your total cost.
