"They were able to remove limb and save the tree. Clear dead branches and a others that were close to roof. Worked very hard, hardly knew they were there. Cleaned up. The cost was reasonable, however well worth the care and treatment of the tree and our property. I would hire again without hesitation and already referred them to my new neighbor."

"Went well, the person I worked with was Chris and was very courteous and quick with a recommendation. He used to be a wholesaler for the different roofing materials, and explained in detail why he was recommending what he did. Ultimately went with another company, but felt very good about what I was presented."

"We had a stone sidewalk through our garden and wanted additional access.  We called Outdoor Concepts - we have used them on 5-6 landscaping projects (both design and installation) over the past 8 years.  Genie's design really enhanced our outdoor spaces.  Joe and his staff are professional, prompt and efficient.  Overall, a great value.  It's a company we trust for quality work."

"The experienced crew arrived on schedule and worked until it was done (several days). They encountered some issues (for example, very sandy hillside) and took the extra time and effort to ensure safety.  They modified their design (lengthened the wall) to better fit the site for a modest price increase (to cover the cost of additional materials).  They helped me move some excess dirt to a neighbor's yard and remove additional railroad ties from my property with their equipment, no extra charge, no complaint.  The workers knew what they were doing and worked efficiently.  At the same time, they interfaced well and were responsive to my interests. I couldn't be happier with the result.  <br />"

"Our roof had defective shingles that needed to be replaced completely. The owner, John, was punctual and responsive. His price was a little lower than the other quotes (our insurance would not cover the expense). We were a little concerned when the Mexicans showed up and started working on the roof. Apparently sub-contracting is very common during the busy summer time. When the sub-contractors were done after 1.5 days, John came to inspect the roof and the ground around the house. He was not happy and called the sub-contractors back to fix some issues on the roof and clean the ground. After that, he was still not satisfied. He brought his own team onto the roof and did some more work for a few hours. Overall, we were satisfied the Wolf Restoration. John was nice and responsible. We also appreciate him helping us in the process of filing the claim for the defective shingles.   We would recommend him to friends and neighbors. <br />"

FAQs for brick and stone patios, walks, and steps installation projects in Somerset, WI

When cleaning your flagstone patio, begin by gently hosing off loose dirt and debris. Use a mild solution of white vinegar and water or diluted dish soap to scrub the surface with a soft-bristled brush. Avoid using abrasive tools, such as wire brushes, as they can damage the stone’s seal and finish. This careful approach effectively removes mold and grime while preserving the natural beauty of your patio.

Flagstone naturally offers a neutral palette that includes shades of grey, black, red, yellow, brown, and tan, and its inherent color cannot be altered. Choosing varieties like bluestone provides a subtle bluish tint that complements many exterior designs. These natural hues enhance curb appeal and create a refined, timeless look in your outdoor space, ensuring a sophisticated finish with minimal upkeep.

Flagstone for a patio must have a minimum thickness of 1.5 inches to reliably support furniture and foot traffic. Using stone that is two to three inches thick is recommended to ensure lasting durability. The increased thickness prevents cracking under load and enhances long-term performance. Investing in thicker flagstone provides superior stability and resistance to weather conditions, ensuring your outdoor space remains both safe and attractive.

You can paint a flagstone patio by using a high-quality, outdoor elastomeric latex paint designed for heavy foot traffic. Painting not only refreshes the patio’s appearance but also creates a waterproof barrier that protects the stone from damage. Regular reapplication every one to two years maintains its durability and visual appeal, ensuring your patio remains both stylish and well-protected.
