"I needed exterior painting done at my house. I received a quote from 5 different companies. The others told me what they wouldn't do and then their high price. Berger's was the most reasonable. Steve was very patient and informative. He walked me through what the paint project entailed. There was stucco work that needed to be done prior to painting which they took care of fabulously. On a daily basis his guys came out every morning on time, cleaned up before leaving, and were very helpful in answering my questions as well as they were progressing through the project. They even did a few extra things that I had not asked them for in regards to painting. The project took one week to complete. Two days later I noticed there were a few spots that needed touch-up. The guys came back out right away to retouch. I am very pleased with the work they did. I would definitely hire them again and would definitely recommend them to others."

"The entire project went very smoothly! I wanted a licensed roofr to perform the roof repairs and William put me in touch with "Statewide Roofing" who gave me a good estimate, showed up when advertised and were done very quickly with all areas cleaned up perfectly. This repair was an additional $1,000 dollars outside the cost of painting. William and his crew arrived and performed exactly as advertised, the job was done in less than the amount of time allotted and did not require any rework. The price was outstanding!"

"I hired Busy Bee Painting to paint the interior of my new purchase home as well as the interior of my departure house. Busy Bee Painting did a Fantastic Job at both houses and were on time and within budget. They were able to match the paint perfectly to the carpet sample I provided them and we are super happy! I recommend Busy Bee Painting and will be calling them again in the future. Thank you!!"

"Was Referred to Color Craft by a friend.  Brett came out and looked at my home.  He looked at my home and gave me a very fair estimate.  His workers were very good about prepping the surfaces before painting.  The finished product looks great, we are very pleased.  Brett was very good about answering question throughout the entire project.  We would refer Color Craft to all our friends."

"There are always businesses that stand out from the rest, and that describes Foothill Painting very well. After seeing their excellent work on a neighbor's home, as well as other positive reviews on Angie's List we contacted them for a complete repainting of our house, including a detached three car garage and some interior walls and trim. From the very first meeting with Kevin, one of the co-owners, we knew we were in good hands. All their crew members are regular employees, not sub-contractors. One painter told us that he has been with Foothill for eleven years. The estimate was detailed and professional. They not only painted... They also did quite a bit of stucco and window glazing repair. The prep work was meticulous. What we appreciated the most was their attitude that they would do whatever it took to make sure we were satisfied. Too bad so many businesses don't understand the value of that! Also, they were very careful when moving things out of the way and the cleanup was great. We're sure that there are some other painters who would have submitted a lower bid but, as always, you really do get what you pay for. We feel that we chose the best, and they didn't break our bank."

FAQs for small projects painting or staining projects in Somis, CA

You'll need about two gallons of paint to fully cover your kitchen cabinets with two coats. Since each gallon covers around 350 square feet, it's a good idea to measure your cabinets or use a paint calculator to determine exactly how much you'll need. Starting with one or two coats of primer and then applying two to three layers of paint will give you a flawless, durable finish. Using high-quality paint can reduce the number of coats needed and provide a long-lasting finish.

The best type of paint for your kitchen cabinets is latex paint because it applies evenly and creates a durable finish. If you're painting wood surfaces and need extra adhesion, acrylic paint is a great alternative. We don't recommend oil-based paint for residential use due to its VOC emissions. For finishes, go with eggshell, semi-gloss, gloss, or satin, as matte finishes aren't as durable or as easy to clean.

The best method for painting kitchen cabinets is spray painting because it gives you a smooth, even finish without brush strokes. While brushes and rollers can work, they often leave marks and require more effort. If you're aiming for a professional look, spray painting is your best bet to enhance the beauty and durability of your cabinets.
