"I called Peter from Five Star Enviromental to come over to inspect for mold in my home ASAP. Because I had water damage. He accommodated me with an appointment right away. What I like about Peter was he is very honest and thorough with my inspection. Not many people are these days. His prices are reasonably. He contacted me right away with the results and wrote up my report. What I like also about Five Star Environmental is they won't make you spend more money than you have to. For example Peter would ask you how many samples would I like to test because each sample goes to the lab and they charge for it. He didn't want me to spend more money than I have too. He said to me save your money. Peter is a mold inspector. He can smell and tell if there is mold right away. If I ever need to test for mold again. "AMS is our HERO. The city sewer backed up and filled one third of our basement just before kickoff on Super Bowl Sunday. By halftime George had arrived. He calmly assessed the situation, and set up a time to return the following morning. His workers were polite, professional, and meticulous, and did an unbelievable job of cleaning up a horrible mess. By the end of the day the damaged items, sewage , and much of the smell was gone. Huge fans and a germ-killing ionizer ran for three days. When they were finished the floor was bone dry and absolutely clean. It occurred to us that the floor could not have been better cleaned if it were being prepped for painting. So we will be doing so. "Lesson learned. Always get an estimate. BEFORE the work is done. At least a digital copy. Arrangements for the project were made, with some one named Lynn, for the company to send someone to complete the work. We were quoted over the phone 4500-5000 which included a mold test. A sub contractor with an entirely different company (National Mold Company) was sent. When the contractor arrived, he stated that the job would be much more simpler than first thought. This led us to believe that the job would cost less, no. All said and done, they charged $5500. All said and done, it's almost like no work was done. The stains and the smell are still there. Only one actual board was taken upon the attic room. The ceiling in the bedroom was primed and painted but are still visible and have a funky smell. At this point I'm going to. Do what we should have done; Do the job ourselves. Just now with $5500 less dollars in our pockets. A detailed receipt was not given even though it was requested."
