"First off, I will share that I am a Procurement Consultant and former Purchasing Manager and have regularly bid out services as well as advised clients on doing so. I’ve always had a “value first” approach and, while low price is important, it’s an overall value proposition that sells me on a company. We contacted 8 vendors for our project, which was to take an existing brick paver patio (approx. 14 x 18) and have it power washed, leveled, and re-finished (in this case, no sealer but swept with poly sand). I’ll take this opportunity to say that there are MANY predatory companies out there in brick pavers who are counting on an uneducated consumer. For our project, we received 7 quotes back that ranged in price from $475 to $3,810 for the project. Needless to say I dealt with a couple unethical vendors who tried to tell me I needed to have whole deck removed or some other line of bologna. The good news is that Austin Brick Pavers was one of the vendors that we sent a quote request to and who we ultimately selected. When Eric came out he was straightforward in what needed to be done and honest in that the work on the patio was mostly labor cost (and a few bags of cement and the poly sand). The price for the project was $580, which was toward the low end of our proposal options. Even better, there was no requirement for payment up front, which is why the low bid vendor was not chosen. The work was performed consistent with Eric’s timing estimate (just over a week out) and the two people who worked on it were both detail oriented and friendly. Eric even put down dirt around the patio so we could re-seed and have a finished look to the project. I’m pleased to report that, three weeks out, we are very happy with the work Austin Brick Pavers did and had an outstanding experience overall. "Overall I'm pleased with the work. It turned out well, and the crew was in and out in a day. I had a tree removed, and there were no signs that a tree was there, clean up impressed me. I replaced the tree with a ten-foot Blue Spruce, and in my opinion, could have been better selected, or even placed differently to hide bare spots from incoming traffic, but I'm hopeful the pine comes into its own. Since I've only been in the home 11-months, I knew that taking care of an eyesore around the cable box in the yard next to the driveway needed attention too. The crew removed the railroad ties, leveled the area, and added arborvitaes and river rock, and it looks a thousand times better. I had used Design One on a project at my prior home where they removed a wood patio and replaced with pavers, and planted a row of arborvitaes and laid river rock. I believe that the result from said service added significant value since the home sold in four hours. Travis Perdue took care of the design, logistics making both experiences stress free. His attention to detail and knowledge is unsurpassed, and his professionalism from the cradle to the grave is outstanding. "All Brick truly made the whole experience great, from the initial talk with Shane about the tuck pointing to the the crew doing the work and even the cleanup when they finished. If the wet mortar had the same color as old mortar you would think our brick never had any cracks or missing joints. The work crew was here on time and extremely good at their trade. They cleaned up the areas they worked in and even made sure to cover our a/c unit with a reminder to us to turn it off so that the dust and debris would not clog our filters or get in the motors. I definitely recommend them and will be using them again when I get to replacing/fixing my patio."

He got to the project very quickly (which means I have use of a previously "dead" area while the weather is nice). Logistics were impressive, because they needed to bring in heavy machinery,, yet they got everything completed in a day -the choreography was flawless. The crew was amazing - they knew what they were doing, they were meticulous about every detail, and worked REALLY hard. There was virtually no cleanup for me to do (except spread a little mulch around the patio area). They are artists in their work, and the project was worth every (reasonably priced) penny. The deck and steps are all framed out, beautiful job. The walkway was next and that too looks great. Very nice as well as professional people.
