"Freedom Fence & Deck did a fantastic job replacing our 35-year-old wood fence with a beautiful white vinyl fence. Jim (the salesman) was very easy to work with and accommodated all of our design choices. We found particular latches and handles that we wanted to use, and they agreed to install them for us. The contract process was quick and straightforward. After about six weeks, they were ready to install the fence. They sent out two crews at the same time, plus the owner Steve, who worked alongside them. With seven people working, they managed to finish the entire job in just one day! Our old wood fence was completely removed in about 15 minutes, and then they meticulously installed the new fence, setting all the posts into wet concrete and making sure all the sections were straight. At the end of the long day, when one of the locking gate latches wasn’t working right, Steve patiently worked on it until eventually we realized the part was defective, so he replaced it with a working one. A certain kind of handle had to be ordered, and as soon as it came in, he came back to install it. The fence materials are extremely high quality—the vinyl feels very thick and sturdy, unlike the kind sold at the home improvement stores. And the new fence has completely transformed the look of our property—we’ve already had several compliments from neighbors. "Positive: - Cedar fence looks good. Delivered to specs. - Installation crew was friendly, worked quickly. - Process of getting the initial quote and then revised quotes was efficient. - Price was in line with market, competitive Issues - We were told 1-2 weeks lead time, it ended up being 5-6 weeks lead time. - We had an issue with regard to how the fence fit with the retaining wall that we wanted resolved. The salesperson seemed to question the issue, rather than understanding the additional work we wanted done and why we were not satisfied. We subsequently did get a quote for additional work, but decided not to proceed with it. - The team did not ask how to deal with electrical wiring that went along the fence. And post-installation, they left a live electrical outlet hanging out onto the sidewalk - which was a safety hazard. Was not their job to address the electric, but still should have been handled more carefully. - Payment terms are favorable to the company. They took partial payment up front while I waited for 5-6 weeks, but then were very aggressive about immediate payment, seeming more concerned about getting paid day-of before even understanding if I considered the work done or was satisfied."

"Came out quickly (first of the three competing companies to schedule an estimate, then complete it). Very fair pricing. Our install date was affected by weather which was frustrating, but not their fault obviously. We had a 3 rail split rail fence installed with 3 gates. They made the gates custom on site, which was awesome to watch. The owner is Carlos and he is very fair and reasonable. He was also quite patient with me pestering him with questions, comments, and concerns. They do more than just fencing and we will be using them for future projects. Thank you!"

"I am very happy with the job. The salesperson, Kevin, was on time and knowledgeable without being pushy or overbearing. He gave me the Angieslist discount, too, which actually made the price a little bit less that the other 2 quotes I had received. Due to all the recent bad weather, they were backed up a little bit on installations, and it might be 3 or 4 weeks before they could get to me. He was right on the mark - installation was exactly 4 weeks later! While I wish it could have been sooner, it's not the company's fault the weather's been so awful. Kevin measured and marked where our new fence would be, and about 2 weeks later one of the foremen came out to double check the markings. Very thorough. I found the office staff to be friendly and considerate. Dottie called to schedule installation a week ahead, and I picked one day, only to realize a few minutes later that I needed a different day, so I called back to switch, and she was more than happy to accommodate me. On installation day, the crew arrived about 45 minutes earlier than scheduled, which to some may be an inconvenience, but I loved it, because it meant my fence would be done sooner! Jason and Daniel were A+. They were both extremely polite and communication was excellent during the install. They were efficient and they cleaned up after themselves. They even cleaned up the extra dirt from digging for the new poles. There was a third man here for part of the morning (he delivered the new fencing supplies and hauled away the old), but unfortunately I didn't get his name, or I'd give him a shout out, too. There was a small glitch in that I had ordered and paid for an upgraded gate latch but only received a standard latch. They could not replace the latch that day, because they didn't have one with them, but I said as long as I wasn't charged for the upgraded latch I didn't get, I was fine with the one they installed. Jason said he would alert the office, but also said I should call, so I did. Once again, staff was very polite. They took my information, and then a few minutes later, Francisco called. He apologized for the error and said they would adjust my bill. I received a corrected contract from Kevin a few hours later, but he said they will send me an invoice for the corrected amount (so I didn't even have to pay the balance that same day!) It was nice to deal with such an efficient, honest, polite company, and the new fence looks fabulous. I would definitely use Fence & Deck Connection again."

"The team Fence & Deck sent to install a fence in my backyard—an area measuring about 1/6th of an acre—were quick, efficient, and friendly. The first team member showed up just before 7:30 to start dismantling the old fence. By 8 AM, the rest of the team was hard at work. It was a quieter process than I thought, to be honest—which was great, as my neighbors work from home. They were finished by 2 PM; had cleaned up, packed up the old fence and their equipment and were gone. There were issues with installing the new fence: trees had grown into the fence path, most of them belonging to the neighbors. The team presented me with possible solutions at each point, so I could get the fence I wanted—or as close as was possible given the obstacles.
