"The guys at Affordable Tree Service did a terrific job on two complicated tree removals. The trees were hanging over the house, close to power lines, and inside artificial turf. I never heard a single branch hit the roof and they left the artificial turf without any blemishes. Despite being so careful, they were still able to take down two trees in two days. Amazing job!"

"The first visit went well. We went over the work to be done. I pointed at the new growth and used the word "new growth" to explain the light trim that I had wanted. He translated what I said to someone with him who took notes. He said that he would cut off some of the Y's to let some sun in for my grass and away from the house to prevent branches from scratching the tiles on the roof. I wish that I had recorded the conversation when I said, "just a little". The next visit, the man who was taking the notes did the cutting and he cut off more than half of the tree. It is also more than the 10% trim that is healthy for a tree. I do not speak Spanish so when I asked him to stop, he did not understand that I meant to stop cutting, not just to stop to let me walk by. Now, my tree is permanently weakened as assessed by an expert arborist. They did apologize, but it is too late. The tree is damaged. They have not offered to make amends."

"They are low priced, but I suppose you get what you pay for. I hired them to prune trees, prune rose bushes, and remove 3 trees including stump grinding. The tree pruning went fine, but it didn't look very clean when it was done. There were a lot of very small branches left. For the rose bushes, they didn't seem to understand the idea of pruning versus trimming. They just cut the rose branches shorter but that's not really pruning. The tree removal and stump grinding was a disaster. For one of the trees, they cut an electrical line during the stump grinding process. They did come back to fix it but did a very unprofessional repair job. I had to call an electrician to come back and do the job properly. For one of the other trees, they messed up my flower bed where the tree was. When they brought in their stump grinding equipment they damaged the flower bed wall and left giant ruts in the flower bed when they were done. For the 3rd tree removal, they must have damaged a sprinkler line underground because my sprinkler system started leaking after the tree removal. Additionally, there is no longer any power to the sprinkler system control panel. So I have to get a sprinkler company to fix all the damage. I won't be hiring them again. They are cheap, but now I am spending as much on fixing their damage as I did for their tree service."
