"The owner, Andrei, responded promptly to fix my leaky roof that was installed a mere 5 years ago. He quickly assessed the problem area and within days he and his crew returned and made the repairs. Subsequent storms have proven that the problem was remedied and the work site made to look virtually untouched by the repairs. Throughout the process Andrei explained how the leak was able to develop and how he proposed to remedy the matter. In addition to the roofing repair Andrei went to great lengths to secure an identical match on vintage vinyl siding to repair areas of minor damage. Mid-Atlantic is highly recommended. I hope I don't have more roofing issues but if I do I know who I am going to call."

"I had Geno replace my gutters & install gutter guards in July. I waited to review the work until now so I could determine how the gutters handled the falling leaves. I am very pleased with the job Geno did. It took him & his crew about 4 hours to do the job & did an excellent clean up job when they left. I have had no clogged gutters & the wind blows off the leaves. I had 3 estimates for the job. His reviews were excellent & I felt his gutter guard was very good & he came in with the lowest bid. "Summit was very responsive and did a fantastic job! Dan came out quickly and provided an estimate as promised. He was very honest and no pressure. He said our roof didn't need to be done this year--that it still had a couple years life left. However, our gazebo roof, which was in bad shape needed replacing. They scheduled the job quickly. The crew came and did an excellent job! The gazebo roof looks great and surrounding area was left as clean as it was found. We will be doing our main roof in the next year or so and for sure we will use Summit again! Highly recommend."

"So-so experience. Job was bid and performed in the depths of the recession - I think he priced it so low that he needed to cut corners. Plus: did job quickly, when scheduled. Old roof was removed with only medium amount of mess. New roof went on OK. He did an OK job installing a skylight in the new roof. Minus: He reused the old gutters, which I would not recommend anyone else do - they were pretty battered by the time they had been removed and replaced. Some of them still don't drain right. Here's the worst part: on the last day, one of his guys fell off the roof. My wife was in the dining room and saw him bounce off our back stairs and land on the grass. Fortunately, he didn't seem to be badly hurt, as he ultimately landed on boggy grass. However, Scheinfeld, when told about this, took more than an hour to show up, and the injured worker called us a few days later asking for our homeowner's policy info, thinking that we would be paying for his medical care - can you believe it? I run a small business and am very familiar with the concept of Workmen's Comp - no telling what was going on between Scheinfeld and his workers, but something seemed to be very, very wrong. A couple of our gutters still don't drain right, despite several calls to have them adjusted. But the roof no longer leaks."

"I highly recommend Fabiano's Construction. Our experience with him was fantastic from beginning to end. The project was to restore and replace the exterior window frames of our 1830 Trinity. The previous owners had installed new windows on the inside but left the old ones outside for beauty. Many of these old windows were completely rotten at the bottom, barely holding the small panes of glass together. We got three estimates. One builder wanted to replace the old windows with a second set of new ones. Another was going to patch them up with wood filler. Fabiano was the only one who was willing to actually restore them, using green wood for the parts that were beyond salvaging. It was precision carpentry work requiring problem-solving ingenuity. The new frames and sills are green wood plus Azek (PVC), so they should last forever. Although more major restoration was necessary than foreseen, Fabiano and his crew—his son Will and assistant Simon—still finished the job in the predicted time. They were careful, focused, hard-working, and also really nice, honest people. It was a pleasure to meet them, and the result is a stunning improvement to our house both inside and out. Fabiano is responsive and friendly, an expert who takes pride in his work. Incredibly, his price was the lowest the three. We plan to hire him for another project."
