"I was in emergency need of replacing a timber egress window well and an adjacent paver patio that chipmunks had tunneled into and destroyed. I needed it replaced before it caved into the basement window and now was the time. Secondly, I hoped for finding someone who could install a concrete pad attached to my garage’s slab for a future 3-season screened porch. I was having a struggle finding anyone for either. Patio installers didn’t want to take on replacing an egress window well. Concrete people said they were not comfortable drilling rebar into a 75-year-old garage slab. Greg was able to do all of this! His crew was able to relocate a large stone step used in the old patio and integrate it into a new extension of the newpatio. Greg’s crew was able to masterfully cut the replacement pavers tightly around the existing pergola posts, I was really impressed! The concrete slab was poured within the frame of an existing low-height retaining wall, but the edges were dug out deep enough below the ground for structural support of the future 3-season porch. We needed a railing around the egress well, and while such work is outside the scope of what he would do, Greg referred us to a metal smith who built for us a new railing and metal ladder into the well."

"We used L&R for a very extensive renovation project to remove overgrown flower beds, reclaim portions of yard that the previous owners had turned into paths and terrace, remove trees, replace rotted steps and realign the irrigation system. They turned a badly neglected back yard into a beautiful oasis that looks clean and abounds with blooming plants and shrubs. Since we border a wetland, their plan called for animal-resistant foliage in an easy-to-maintain installation. "We have had Chris do a number of smaller jobs for us over the last 5 years.  We have always been extremely pleased with the quality of his work.  The shoreline rock wall was by far the biggest project he has done for us.  We couldn't be more pleased with the final outcome!  In order to get the huge rocks to the shore, our yard was pretty torn up in the process, as was the sand beach. Not only does the rock wall look fantastic, but they put the yard and beach back in better shape than it was in the first place.  In addition, Chris is friendly as well as professional and really cares about our input and suggestions.  We will hire him again!

"These guys did a great job. John came out to give me an estimate and he suggested a couple of different ideas to update the existing landscaping. They were able to start work on the project within a couple of weeks and completed the job very quickly. The people doing the work were very friendly and took time to explain to me what they were doing and let me make choices about the planting placement. The end result was amazing! I think I got a great result for a good price. The price included removing all the existing rock and plantings from the previous landscaping."

"I had a sidewalk and partial driveway installation done. The job estimator John Monaghan was excellent and explained all work that would be done. The concrete work was very nice and done on time, time will tell if the quality lasts.. The driveway portion abutted some existing concrete pavers that need to be removed for the concrete pour and then replaced. The work done on this portion was poor, some pavers needed to be cut and were not cut straight with large uneven gaps. I am not a professional but I will do a much better job replacing them. Also the crew did not bring any base material for this portion and I provided them with leveling sand I had. Details matter."
